Some day you too may take a year-long break and come back to find you have to learn to play a different game than what you played before.
At some point it's going to filter into common wisdom that CP and AvA rank don't assure any particular expertise.
Players get to a certain skill cap in eso that they can leave for large periods of time and come back and still be good at pvp

Now look I'm not trying to be toxic here and I know it sounds like it. But whether you've always been a boss at any game you play, or someone who just games for fun. Having this much CP and being the literal max rank in PVP. That time spent getting there should atleast learn the game to a point where you can hold your own against other players. And yet these players will die within a matter of seconds
I'm CP 800+ and I generally avoid PvP (and veteran dungeons) due to comments like this.
It's just a game...
This is the very understandable view a lot of my friends have about PvP in this game, too. I agree with your view. I have PvP'd a lot, I have been at the bottom, and I have been at the top. From the bottom to the top, it's all awful. Vicious horrible toxic people everywhere. Exploitation and cheating everywhere. For anyone thinking about trying PvP in this game, I HEAVILY recommend staying away from it. It's disgustingly toxic. Please try it if you really want to, of course; that's obviously your call, but I can almost guarantee it will be horrible unless you go with a kind guild and just communicate with them.
This original poster just embodies the toxic disposition of a typical PvPer, albeit his post is far less toxic than the usual PvPer.
To respond to the original post, there could be a rash of new players buying veteran player's accounts. Or it could just be a person who has played the game since launch and had fun with the game in other ways like questing. As for the 5-star, maybe they just had casual fun with some guild mates at Cyro over the years. I don't know.
If they did something wrong like buying an account or getting AP by exploit etc, then that's wrong and I disapprove of that. But if they are aboveboard then that's a different story.
There is nothing wrong with them going to PvP and trying it out and learning how it works. They are not obligated to know how to play at "your level". For that matter, no one, regardless of level, is obligated to know how to be what you consider "good" at the game in any way. People purchased this game and should be able to have fun without being shamed and criticized for not getting good fast enough.
I used to PvP a huge amount. I only do it rarely, now. The absolutely rampant toxicity and cheating/exploitation completely broke the experience for me. I also didn't even start veteran dungeons until I was level 600; even fungal grotto 1. Why? Because I didn't feel like being instantly kicked before even starting the dungeon. I was right to wait.
I don't even do vet dungeons very much right now. I find myself angry every time I go through a dungeon. Someone always is incredibly rude to a teammate or me. It was really bad when I was a dps main, and now it's MUCH worse as a healer main. One time I ported to a dungeon where these people ordered me around like I was a trained dog. Not joking. I left, obviously. I don't take toxicity, and no one else should either.

In any competitive environment there are competitors at the top. Then you get that whole other lot that aren't at the top. That's how it all works.
Just train up a guild of your faction to be awesome. Then tell them you are leaving the game and switch sides, then presto, a full guild full of awesome competition for you to start anew with. I'm sure you are creative enough to find a solution, you are competent to get to top tiers after all
Good luck out there, have a fun end to the week

Its actually you that doesnt know how eso pvp works. They are only there until they reach rank 1 of the campaign to get the transmute stone on that character then switch to another. You dont have to get good or learn to play to achieve that.

CP is no indication of anything other than time spent in the game.
AP is no indication of anything other than time spent in PvP
Given there is almost zero in game attention given to teaching players how to play the game, it is unsurprising that some players don’t use the ‘basic’ skills OP talks about. So they die a lot.... I thought that was what PvP was all about.

Your name is DCzergnoob and you are commenting on peoples ability to play this game, your name is the definition of poor play on this game.
The majority of people who go into cyro do so to get a transmute, I am one of them I get them on as many of my characters as I can, pvp is ridiculous in this game not investing any of my time getting serious about it!
As for grand warlords, high CP players, maybe they are bored of it.
