CP 1000+ 5 star player problem

I have been seing alot of players in PVP lately that are high CP and 5 star that have absolutely no clue how to PVP. I've seen these people in fights.
They wont break free
They wont keep buffed up
And sometimes they do as little as spam light attacks
These players have all this proof that they have been playing in cyrodiil for a really long time and yet play like they bought the game 3 days ago
Now look I'm not trying to be toxic here and I know it sounds like it. But whether you've always been a boss at any game you play, or someone who just games for fun. Having this much CP and being the literal max rank in PVP. That time spent getting there should atleast learn the game to a point where you can hold your own against other players. And yet these players will die within a matter of seconds

Sounds like an easy AP and Bounty farm.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

They obviously do because there the ones who always ask for these constant pvp changes and nerfs to this or that when it's fine as it is but are never content with what ZOS gives them

Hey, if these players have persisted with Cyrodiil or BGs to the point where they got enough AP to become 5 stars... more power to them! I PVP quite a bit & my max Alliance rank character is only a Centurion. Even if these player did nothing but repair walls, surf zergs & spam rapid regen.. that's still some gritty persistence to PVP!

Over 1000CP is pretty standard these days.

CP is account wide and means nothing. I ll hit 1000 this month. Quite a few points come from daily crafting or missions for achievement and motifs.

You dont have to be a good fighter. There are also good siege masters and healers.

It is useless to ask for better 1v1 fights. Go duel somewhere.

There are people who ride on the backs of guilds and zergs. Spend a lot of time repairing walls. Then theres boosting. Real shady crap that gets you millions of AP in days.

Yeah, I thought that was where you were going with this.

I mean, if you can prove someone's sold their account, it's a reportable offense. Being terrible at the game is not .

Where tf are you getting where i asked for 1v1's from?
And yes 1k+ cp on its own isnt alot, but it says something when a character combines that with rank 50 GO in PVP

This is the very understandable view a lot of my friends have about PvP in this game, too. I agree with your view. I have PvP'd a lot, I have been at the bottom, and I have been at the top. From the bottom to the top, it's all awful. Vicious horrible toxic people everywhere. Exploitation and cheating everywhere. For anyone thinking about trying PvP in this game, I HEAVILY recommend staying away from it. It's disgustingly toxic. Please try it if you really want to, of course; that's obviously your call, but I can almost guarantee it will be horrible unless you go with a kind guild and just communicate with them.

This original poster just embodies the toxic disposition of a typical PvPer, albeit his post is far less toxic than the usual PvPer.

To respond to the original post, there could be a rash of new players buying veteran player's accounts. Or it could just be a person who has played the game since launch and had fun with the game in other ways like questing. As for the 5-star, maybe they just had casual fun with some guild mates at Cyro over the years. I don't know.

If they did something wrong like buying an account or getting AP by exploit etc, then that's wrong and I disapprove of that. But if they are aboveboard then that's a different story.

There is nothing wrong with them going to PvP and trying it out and learning how it works. They are not obligated to know how to play at "your level". For that matter, no one, regardless of level, is obligated to know how to be what you consider "good" at the game in any way. People purchased this game and should be able to have fun without being shamed and criticized for not getting good fast enough.

I used to PvP a huge amount. I only do it rarely, now. The absolutely rampant toxicity and cheating/exploitation completely broke the experience for me. I also didn't even start veteran dungeons until I was level 600; even fungal grotto 1. Why? Because I didn't feel like being instantly kicked before even starting the dungeon. I was right to wait.

I don't even do vet dungeons very much right now. I find myself angry every time I go through a dungeon. Someone always is incredibly rude to a teammate or me. It was really bad when I was a dps main, and now it's MUCH worse as a healer main. One time I ported to a dungeon where these people ordered me around like I was a trained dog. Not joking. I left, obviously. I don't take toxicity, and no one else should either.

Some day you too may take a year-long break and come back to find you have to learn to play a different game than what you played before.

At some point it's going to filter into common wisdom that CP and AvA rank don't assure any particular expertise.

Players get to a certain skill cap in eso that they can leave for large periods of time and come back and still be good at pvp
