I'd love to see a vampire themed chapter around Daggerfall province introducing the vampire lord skill line and maybe as a trial Molag Bal possesing an old champion of Hircine giving werewolf
a vampirism disease. Since the werewolf transformation is a useful tool for stam characters vampire lord would be a decent transformation for magicka characters in my opinion.
I have said it before:What Theme You'd Want for Next Chapter

So personally, I think the most likely direction would be continuing that storyline, once they are done with Elsweyr and dragons... and look into some leftover lands from the fall of the empire. Nibenay and Blackwood perhaps, since they are bordering elsweyr. Colovia would make a good "standalone DLC" region I reckon. Possibly even leading the story towards Falkreath sometime, and from there take it further towards western skyrim.
Story-wise... well, we met Abnur Tharn, and his sister Euraxia (half-sister!), while his daughter Clivia is holding together the remains of the empire... and might need help against some threat...
...it could be another daedric prince, there are many minor ones who would love to make trouble and perhaps succed where Molag Bal and the triad conspiracy failed and build up a new empire under their control by infiltrating cultists into Nibenay or Colovia...
...or it could be some forgotten danger from Black Marsh awakened as side effect by the events in Murkmire threatening Blackwood, a host of undead, ancient ayleids or more recently deceased Knarhaten flu victims, led by a powerful lich-lord and bent on revenge against all living things...
...or or could be mundane, like for example imperial commanders in the scattered empire plotting against each other (Colovia vs. Nibenay?) or even the reachmen who might come together in hopes of conquering the empire again and reviving the reign of the longhouse emperors starting with Falkreath... (it has only been a few years since Varen Aquilarios overthrew them after all)
Of course, there are a great many other places where they might make an expansion of things. Western Skyrim and the Reachmen troubles in it alone would make for a grand expansion (possibly with a bardic guild thrown into it, much like Psijics in Summerset?), while there is still a lot of the hammerfell deserts to be covered in accessible regions... who knows what dangers might be hiddern beneath those sands? Or what mundane troubles might brew as the rift beween forebears and crowns get more and more pronounced, and some ambitious people wish to brew it into a civil war to seize power for themselves... Same for Black Marsh, really, but since Murkmire was recently done, I wager they would want a while before they turn their eyes towards that again...
I could easily see an "annual theme" here - imperial remnants 2020, western skyrim 2021, redguard deserts 2022... that's expansions and DLCs for three years, easy! And after that, they could easily go back to Black Marsh and do something there again as well in 2023. Four years of fun, easily!
In the further future, they could even go "offmap" - give us a "High Seas" expansion with piracy and exotic isles (maybe an expedition to the remains of sunken Yokuda, or a visit to Thras, isle-kingdom of the Sload?) and possibly even a maormer playable race, or an "Avaviri Vanguard" expansion covering the three large islands between Akavir and Tamriel, finding out the reason for the recent invasion and preventing the next one? With an option to play as one of the akaviri races?
And they could -always- squeeze in some daedric planes, but really, those might be much better done as CWC-sized DLC rather then as expansion.
Anyhow, those are my thoughts on the matter...
...its called "Rivenspire", stranger...I'd love to see a vampire themed chapter around Daggerfall province...
...except it -won't- end for the next what, three centuries or so? The alliances will fall apart, (covenant first, as that has already started with king Kuron in the orsinoum story and will become acute with high king emrics eventual death; then dominion as internal strife makes them crumble, and without external enemies to keep them united, the pact races all go their seperate ways...), cyrodil will remain a battlefield as each and every warlord takes towns conquering the ruby throne, yet noone ever gets there... until Talos comes and takes it all, restored the empire and ends the interregnum (and the second era while he's at it).I would honestly love an update to the Three Banners War. Would love to know the lore of how it ends...
...and since there is practically no lore on that, they could do whatever. Any enemies they can think of, and story they can imagine... the land itself could he a hazard, with permanent frost damage that makes our characters dash from warm cave to campfire to heated hut, or use some short-duration "warming postions" to make it through the landscape without freezing some delicate body parts off, and they could fill it with a LOT borrowed from norse mythology (with the serial numbers filed off and a new coat of "elder scrolls" paint...)As a frozen land Atmora would be really cool, since the whole continent is frozen there are probably many adapted creatures we didn't see on lore before
...except we do know that happens 2E 896 and ESO is set in what, 2E 582 or so? Three hundred years in between does not leave much room for "interaction"... at best, the vestige might meet one of Talos ancestory (possibly protect them from cultist assassins that want to end the bloodline to prevent a dragonborn to come relight the dragonfires in the future?)We hardly know anything about Tiber Septim, and how he campaigned accross Tamriel to end the war, only accounts and heresy...
One that fixes the lag and endless loading screens in Cyrodiil.
