In fact this is scheduled downtime, much like WoW has had since 2003.
Lack of communication is a big problem with ZOS, they should also say what the fix is.
Irrelevant. Prime time is not subjective and it's not up for a discussion, it's a matter of statistics.stealthdf2b14_ESO wrote: »lol at everyone telling me what the definition of primetime is. you are all totally missing my point. No matter when they do maintenance there will always be people here claiming its their primetime and making threads acting as if they are all important.

im from USA and my primetime is right now cause my schedule isnt the same as everyone elses but im not going to jump up and down and cry like a kid as if that will fix anything. everyone wants to act like they are all important and that they need to be catered to. im sorry but no you arent and no one is, we are all the same. we all pay the same sub fee and we all expect them to fix problems asap, except when they do try to fix things asap people still complain and cry. if they dont fix something asap then there is a whole nother group (or a lot of the same people) still crying . i get that there are certian % on at certain times but this is just the way things are and no amount of forum campaigning will change it

It just shows their lack of professionalism/experience/courtesy/communication/PR skills which are not confidence inspiring for someone like me who just bought the game 10 minutes ago.
People that asked to fix those broken quests should probably think twice next time, it is better to skip some quest then to not be able to play at all.
They had server downtime last night for EU and detected a problem when updating the NA servers. Obviously they detected something that needs fixing ASAP or they wouldn't have brought the EU server down again.

This attitude that they are 'screwing' with EU server players is worse than absurd; for all anyone knows there was a bug that erased your inventory or something so stop this b.s. entitled crap and wait for it to be fixed. It sucks when nobody can play, but it would suck even more to have a major issue come with the patch that we desperately need anyways.

Prime time is the evening hours after the normal 9-5 working day. It is for all entertainment, be it TV, pubs, whatever; because that is when most people have free time. I don't care if you define prime time as something different; you are wrong.
Well being a person who does maintenance , i don't understand the broad unclear time frame they are giving. If you know what you are doing , you know how long it will take to patch. This is done by either just experience , or by first applying the patch onto your test / qat / uat system. I now have to conclude they simply took the servers down and try to fix an issue on the live environment without even doing it in their lab.
In the many years i am doing maintenance and patching , always outside prime time ; i never ever missed a deadline or miscalculated/guessed. I usually am done earlier than announced.
But , this is not new , it is always like this the first couple of months after a release , as if every single MMO is managed by newcomers.
I am in the group of the very unlucky ones , got in for 10 mins of play timeand wont see the inside of the game until tomorrow , unless they will perform this stunt again
