    Actually, i would take this even further:

    - Restrict Stamina to only be used for basics that are shared for all characters like sprinting, blocking, dodging etc.

    - Rename Magicka to something more generic and have all skills use that pool exclusively


    Basically, get rid of the whole Stamina/Magicka duality for skills, have one resource dedicated for basic movement/mobility and one dedicated for skills.

    We once had that, that was the intended design of the game combat system (that took almost a decade to develop lol) at launch. Magika for Classes, Stam for utility and weapons (as you must remember, I know you do).

    They caused an unnecessary divide within the community when they got rid of Soft Caps system.... simultaneously it also ruined the build diversity that they now struggle to bring back (by bringing the nerf hammer to the most utilized skills), destroyed Hybrid and caused massive imbalance between skills (due to how they scaled) and created OP skills that were kept in check by said Soft Caps ... oh well...

    I think if they went back to that and removed weapons from the Stamina pool and made it a truly shared pool that all classes use for the same basics like movement etc. and then have all skills and weapons scale of the second pool, that would help immensely with build diversity because it would allow everyone to use any skill/morph their class offers.

    I wonder if someone can come up with the most nerfed and least dps class build so we can play it and there is only one way that class can go which is better. So every patch feels like a positive instead of a negative.

    I completely agree, because I had the same idea a while back. They could solve so many balance problems by doing this!

    I don't see them doing it, though, because the development needed would be so expensive and time-consuming that they might as well make a new game and call it ESO 2.

    That would essentially reverse this whole stamina morph fiasco, if it was restricted to class skills.

    Thank god I made 10 chars of all most all possible races and vocations.. and leveled them to 50 before starting to play for real

    I don't know about PVP, but U24 pet build in PVE content up, to soloing one of the easier 4-person dungeons, is still pretty easy. That is as far as I was able to get before they swapped to EU characters on PTS. It was also done on the more cutthroat nerfs than what we will likely have on live.
