Is that map truly accurate? It doesn’t make sense to skip over an area that size when expanding the map, especially as it seems we would be able to naturally progress from Northern Elsweyr to Southern Elsweyr by land following the story. Could it be it will be included when the DLC goes live? It seems a strange shape and size to reserve for a futures chapter/DLC and seems a break in continuity. Or are there impassable mountains or something there so we literally have to leave Northern Elsweyr and go down to the sea to get to Southern Elsweyr???

And so on.
ZeniMax doesn't want to dilute the zones and give up every single province/city/area in their card-hand/playbook, so to speak. Then what will TES VI, VII, and so on be located and about?
Just like Todd Howard stated with regards to The Dwemer in a recent interview, "part of the fun is the mystery" and "it's nice to miss things" (with regards to the absence of TES VI in what will now be 8 years).
Just be glad that we got to visit some of the cat-land.
I am still waiting for 'E' interaction to work on opening the door through Varen's Wall Gatehouse, near Kvatch, so I can finally travel to Skingrad and further relive TES IV: Oblivion. But, like everyone else, I can keep on holding my breath and waiting.

This dosent make any sense. Explain why Skyrim reach into Morrowind then? Or Craglorn why looks so ***?Or why they always take or add something with the new zones?
Some examples:
- Morrowind starter slavery/prison island
it wasnt even on the map before
- Summerset got an island?
- Craglorn wayshrines still looks off after 4 year
i nexplain:
Because the Map in the game is timed out and not precise!
Solution:
This is kinda outdated. last 2 zone is not on it. but exactly explains the reality ^^

You clearly are not familiar with TES landscape nor TES lore, so I'll take any/all of your comments made with a grain of salt because you appear clueless about it all.
Summerset IS an island. The Summerset Isles make it an archipelago - AKA, a chain of islands (Summerset, Artaeum, and Auridon).
What are you even talking about with 'why Skyrim reach into Morrowind then?' They are literally border-states. Skyrim and Morrowind share a border no matter what game or time period you are referring to. They shared a border in Oblivion, Skyrim, etc. And in ESO. Sure, sometimes the border shifts a little, depending on which faction won a war or whatever, just like borders do in real life. Unless you want to talk about when any ingame location(s) had no name(s) and were simply nameless, undefined geography/landmasses, just like real-life, before recorded history.

dont have to be smartass ^^ . beside you based your knowledge on a map which is just exist for reasons?
youre clueless about it too.
nobody talked about anything what you just mentioned ^^
i said the eso map is off. not precise.
just look at the map. craglorn is bigger since 4 year than the wayshrines are on tamriel layer of the ingame map. vvardenfel dosent had the island. as well summerset. original ingame map showed none of the 2 small islands like western coraldale and such. and yes. on big map. Eastmarch reaching into Morrowind. Where the city of BLACKLIGHT should be >_>. even if not exist. but not precize. on small map. its just a small area reaching into morrowind. but on big map. eastmarch basicly reaching into morrowind.
in short the big map not mirrors correctly the real zone sizes and looks ^^
The map looks really irritating this way and if it stays that way the gap between the zones will probably never be filled. Why would you leave northern and southern elsweyr disconnected? And no connection to Grahtwood? It doesn't make sense.

Blacklight would be located east (right) of Skuldafn Wayshrine, on the other side of The Velothi Mountain chain there, which runs north-south. Windhelm and Blacklight are both in their correct positions on the map. You forget that the entire strip of land running north-to-south to the west of Eastmarch and to the west The Rift is past of Morrowind and is currently inaccessible.
As for Craglorn, that's more of just a visual bug when zooming in and zooming out of the map and between zones.
The Imperial City and Cyrodiil has the same zooming in/out issue, and The Imperial City's map appears overlayed above or below the Niben River bridge, directly west (left) of Cropsford. Hence why The Order of the Black Worm lorebook and other lorebooks near it are shown on The Imperial City map when viewing The Imperial City, but those lorebooks are actually located near Cropsford and the Niben River area.

The naming of these zones is bothersome enough but they don’t even touch. There is slim chance it will ever be filled in with the weirdest shaped zone ever. What is the reasoning behind this?
