Maybe they are saving it for next year's chapter?
Would fit the trend... I mean look at Northern Elsweyr and compare it to Reaper's March next to it. Which one is bigger?
In anycase, I am bit miffed we wont be seeing Corinthe. Was kinda looking forward to that.
So we're still missing Torval and Corinthe. Interesting. According to UESP, Torval is known as the home of the Mane. Maybe they're preparing an upcoming DLC related to the Mane and the aftermath of that (spoilers Elsweyr)khajiiti born during the eclipse thing.

Speaking of the Mane, I wonder how they will handle the Mane's identity in the future considering the events in Reaper's March.

This really makes no sense at all to me....

I honestly never expected ZeniMax to show these areas. Sometimes the mystery is more fun. Just like with the Dwemer, Akavir/Akaviri, and so on.
ZeniMax Media needs to leave some room on the map left for the single player games' settings for TES VI, VII, and so on, too...
The map looks really irritating this way and if it stays that way the gap between the zones will probably never be filled. Why would you leave northern and southern elsweyr disconnected? And no connection to Grahtwood? It doesn't make sense.

The naming of these zones is bothersome enough but they don’t even touch. There is slim chance it will ever be filled in with the weirdest shaped zone ever. What is the reasoning behind this?

Want to hear a funny fact? Dont know it its fixed. but in grahtwood you was able to leave the map and visit southern Elsweyr. The thing is that there was some already finished markings outside of grahtwood for elsweyr. Like the ocean and coast, place markings like the ancient temple of the mane and etc. a lot place. but all was at the area where is no southern elsweyr border :P

ESO tends to really irk me in this regard. RIGHT when you feel as if a rather interesting piece of lore is going to be revealed, this game tends to find random reasons to lock doors (i.e. the Tonenaka) or avoid depicting certain races (Akaviri in Rimmen, Ohmes Khajiits, etc) or make certain areas inaccessible (i.e. Tenmar Forest)
I couldn't care less for the dragons, as their presence is simply a marketing ploy to further interest in the game. I was largely excited to play Elsweyr this year in order to see the dramatic geographic contrast between the desert steppes of Anequina and the a true jungle zone like the Tenmar forest. I liked the thought of one day being able to walk non-stop from Grahtwood in Valenwood east through the Tenmar Forest, into Blackwood, then into Black Marsh without ever leaving forest/jungle zones.
It looks almost as if ZOS went out of their way to intentionally not give Southern Elsweyr an overland border with Grahtwood and Northern Elsweyr.
