Ok so why?
1. He created the Amulet of Kings. Without this we wouldn't have been able to defeat Mehrunes Dagon in Oblivion.
2. Without the Amulet of Kings we wouldn't have been able to stop the Planemeld and defeat Molag Bal.
3. The Amulet of Kings was Akatosh blessing to Alessia, granting her the Ruby Throne so she could rule as Queen.
4. It was Akatosh who forged the covenant which would protect Nirn from the forces of Oblivion. A covenant kept intact by the Amulet of Kings, when it was wielded by Alessia's heirs. Which would become the Septim dynasty.
5. It was Akatosh who gifted/blessed certain mortals such as Alessia and Tiber Septim making them Dragonborn.
6. Without a Dragonborn we wouldn't have been able to defeat Alduin in Skyrim.
Soo...we owe Akatosh a lot! Nirn would have been destroyed like 5 times already if it wasn't for Akatosh.
