This has probably already been asked, but do I need a credit card to activate twitch prime?
This has probably already been asked, but do I need a credit card to activate twitch prime?
I linked my Amazon Prime account to my Twitch account, but I'm not able to complete the process since Twitch Prime states my credit card data is wrong. I have no credit card connected to my Amazon Prime account at all though (in my country it's not as common to use a credit card for everything as in the US).
Sadly, this doesn't work for me. I was indeed able to link my Amazon Prime account to my Twitch account - logging into Twitch Prime shows my Twitch name as well as my real name (which they must have gotten from my Amazon account).MLGProPlayer wrote: »This has probably already been asked, but do I need a credit card to activate twitch prime?

Twitch Prime access is included with your Amazon Prime subscription. If you already had a Twitch account from before, you would just link it to you Amazon account and it would become a Prime account.

I can't claim the mount and pet though, it asks me to "Continue Sign-Up". Klicking this button let's me choose my country... after that, I get a looooong loading screen, and then there's the failure message that my credit card data is wrong.

Oh, I thought you had an active Amazon Prime subscription. If it's just the trial, you might need to give them your credit card.
No, it's no trial. I have a paid Amazon Prime subscription since a few years.MLGProPlayer wrote: »Sadly, this doesn't work for me. How can a human exist in 2019 without Amazon Prime? It's an essential service for me.

I don't have a credit card linked to my Amazon account (any more) though. In my country, you can pay for Amazon Prime via normal bank account.

Oh, strange then. It looks like they didn't account for alternate payment methods on their other services (I think you can only link a credit card in North America). I'd give Amazon support a call to see if there is a workaround.
Here was someone with a similar issue (they just contacted support): https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/6owam0/oh_no_we_cant_enable_twitch_prime_on_your_account/

I feel like they said something similar last year. I want some crates.

In my Amazon Prime account's "Your Prime Membership"-section there's a list of what's included (seems there are a lot of interesting services I've never tried), and there's a subitem "Stream", where Twitch is the second one presented. No, it's no trial. If you have an Amazon Prime account for your country that also includes Twitch Prime, you should be able to link that account to Twitch and have Twitch Prime access. That account for your country won't give you Amazon Prime or Prime video access on the US Amazon site, you only have access that's regional for your country , but you shouldn't need a US Amazon Prime to claim this. I know because my Twitch Prime came from Amazon Prime Singapore.
