It's annoying AF having to slot a stam skill on a mag toon

Channeled isn't an alternative because the cast time with weaving is trashy and makes me want to die, thank you.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Please look into this, it's a quality of life change and would also make the skill lines better represent magicka characters.

    It only lasts 14 seconds and 2 second activation so 12 seconds; therefore, I could argue a 3 meter radius is fine for scalding rune to keep.

    That said, I think homogenization as it tends towards balance is good. For example, if we consider Liko’s parses indicative of the general balance between classes, the stamina build of a class comes out ahead more often than not, and in some of these cases by a noticeable margin. Plus, whereas these stamina builds often already have flex spots or survival skills built in that’ll likely be needed in actual content, I think the mag builds are actively using all of their active skill slots to parse close to the level of their stamina counterparts, one of these slots being taken by barbed trap. Another one of these slots is taken by scalding rune already on most/all of these mag builds, so if you just move minor force from a stamina scaling skill to a magicka scaling one, mag can keep their important buffs and slot survivability (or more damage for the sake of pure parsing) without much loss.

    I don’t think that different colored skills with exactly the same damage, cost, and effect across builds is all that exciting, but I don’t mind small changes in that direction if they can help balance. And, as noted above, add some diversity of a different kind at the same time.
