I just cleared veteran Lair Of Maarselok in a blind run. I don't want to spoil anything, but they did a nice job forcing you out of meta setups in my opinion. I play a sorcerer, and some enemies made the Amplitude passive really "shine", and I got to use Negate, a lot, that's all I would say. Other than that, this dungeon has mechanics that feel familiar in a nice way, and it's beautiful. A lot of fun, I'm looking forward to doing the HM, and the other dungeon.

I found one of them verrrrry boring. Like. Quiet. Slow. I believe it was Lair of Maarselok... not sure! I’m sure doing it Veteran mode would be more interesting but on a PUG, completely blind run would not be a good way to enjoy my evening
I enjoyed the next one a lot!

I've do both in vet yesterday with a semi-blind run : They're very cool !
But imho the DPS check for one of the boss (one or two before the end, didn't remember) of Lair of Maaserock is a bit too high, it can easily be considered as a standard DLC HM boss.
A bit rude for a good part of the player base I think.

Fun in guild but gonna be horrible with PUG, way more than Moonkeep or Frostvault.

Edit : Also I agree with @Elwendryll I love the new possibility and build variety we can have with this patch.
I've use this on my Warden, work pretty nice and still have some flex spot in case :

So far I have cleared on normal, plan to do vet for both today before I return to the vMA grind. I like Lair more than Moongrave, despite Moongrave having more interesting mechanics, particularly the sacrifice mech. Both visually brilliant and always happy to see more of Selene. In terms of general enjoyment they didn’t captivate me like March of Sacrifice, Frostvault or Scalecaller did first time, but still very enjoyable. Would put it on par with Shadows of the Hist in quality.

    Spoiler on Lair of Maarselok:
We struggled on the encounter before the last boss, the one with add waves. I went 2H front, vMA 2H back, with stampede, as a stamsorc, full AOE Dots. The Hive one was a bit tough too and took a few tries. We were a team of experienced trial runners, and a very good LFG tank that I added to our guild, one DD had to leave on the add waves encounter, and we changed DD 2 times before finding a Flawless Conqueror who could do decent dps. I'm excited about the HM, because last boss was easy, but very fun

I didn’t care for them. Story, mechanics and layout just were that appealing to me compared to previous DLCs. Other people may have a different opinion.

For example, I enjoy Frostvault, WGT and COS. They feel really part of larger storyline involving divines and daedra. Not sure how big and important the dragons here were in the grand scheme however I appreciated seeing a familiar face in Maarselok.

I only completed them on normal so far, but I'm AMAZED by these dungeons.
They're both incredibly beautiful, and creatively designed.

My favorite is Moongrave Fane, it's actually the first DLC dungeon that I just love in general. The minigame with the cubes is awesome, I really enjoyed it.

I just finished Lair of Maaserock and I like the dungeon, although sometimes it was too fairytale-like. Anyway, Selene was there. Moreover, the pug was great! Lucky me!

Lair of Maarselok is to long in my opinion, and most fights to repetitive. Otherwise, visually it is great, but that will get old quite fast.

The other dungeon, with vampires, it is on a different level, far better and more interesting. The Maarselok dungeon could be the same if it were shorter. After a while I felt that I was fighting the same mobs each pull and doing the same routine, all this in the 1st, blind run!

Sceneries are great in both. Stories are ok, especially in Maarselok.
Mechanics is ok for the first run, but will be boring after a few clears. Definitely must see if you are ESO+ subscriber, but is not worth buying as dlc imo.

Both dungeons are a joke in terms of difficulty aside from the hard modes which are quite challenging. Nice art work but wasn't impressed with the boss fights or the trashpulls...

Tanking Marselok was Pretty boring tbh. The bosses before last boss were Pretty easy with good dds and the last boss in hm is Pretty much a glorified dodgeroll Simulator (that is if you feel like giving the boss a Chance and dont just rangetank it to oblivion).

    I think the conclusion is:

If you care about visuals and immersion in the dungeon experience, albeit a longer one....you'll like these dungeons.

If you don't really care and just want a quick and easy run like FG1....you'll probably dislike these dungeons.

Lair of Marselok was visually nice, though a bit long and boring (looking at you, kilometers of nothing but useless mobs). Moongrave fane, was kinda nice, although I have still to figure out the twins in vet.

Maarselok was incredibly buggy and frustrating to play on Vet with a PUG. Bugs like adds spawning on other side of wall forcing us to wipe repeatedly to reset fights... really should have been resolved in PTS cycle.

Moongrave Thane was ridiculously fun, however, and even with a PUG wipe after wipe it was lovely. Splendid design!

Moongrave was a bit more fun than Lair, but the reaction from the group I ran with last night was ‘well. That was boring.’
Also, there’s no incentive to go back, since there’s no great rewards for completing challenger.

Maarselok is a bit long. Lots of trash pulls, long physical distances to cover, and some things just feel very repetitive (the area between the 4th and 5th boss in particular).

Aside from that, both are pretty enjoyable, and the Hard Modes are fun. Non-HM is a bit bland, though.

You can just ignore any adds that spawn outside the walls. They don't need to be killed, and they don't pose a threat to you. There's no need to reset the fight for that bug.
