vMA sooooo bugged right now

    wow I had some lag that contributed to deaths but nothing as crazy as what you guys are describing.

    Lag issue is not a bug, it's a problem but is not a bug.
    I finish vMA 6 time already, PC EU, not problem at all.
    Try do it in a no peak hour and buy a fan for your console :P

    I did a normal run yesterday and the final boss in stage nine I had to kill him upstairs as he never dropped down after I killed the crystals.

    I got it down but had 400 to 480 ms. Vault of umbridge was the worst. Had about 15 more deaths for the run. Flowers spawning and exploding before I can see them. Getting hit by the stagger and bite and dieing without any animation from the boss. The only reason I got it down was muscle memory and pre-emptive game play with high damage.

    I got my inferno staff on the first run and thats all I had left to get so Im done with it..

    Grievances in stage 7:
    • Venomshots turning 45 degrees before firing
    • Venomcallers sometimes invisible, or spawning somewhere in the center of the room
    • Taking melee damage before mobs appear
    • Plant AOE circles totally inaccurate (not unusual)
    • Dying to Enraged Scream with no telegraph
    • Dying to stomp with no telegraph
    • Argonian behemoth teleporting, or sometimes becoming a Deja Vu meme (HE RUN REAL FAST!!!). Sometimes he turns and runs real fast away from me, too, which is kind of okay.

    A bug in Maelstrom arena normal i noticed ;
    Vault of umbridge
    Argonian Venomcaller not spawning on platform but 6m or so from it, unable to be hit ,like a wall is in front of it.(in my case melee range)
    This caused me to get poisoned more often than i could purge it in the circle & had to start the stage over

        Yeah, this one's the worst one. It's made it impossible for me to clear it. The only way around it so keep spamming him with Crushing Shock, just in case he may be preparing to scream, but then I'm missing other mechanics.

        I did normal MA day before yesterday but didn’t talk to the little midget dude that final time so his Baron Who Moves Like a Turd scene didn’t play.

        I logged in Yesterday to do it on vet and there where two midget dudes. I talked to one and completed the normal quest. Talked to the other and he started the quest on vet but the portal didn’t reappear. It was funny. There were two lil midgets standing there and they were both saying come back anytime.

        I reloaded ui. Didn’t fix it. Left area and came back. Didn’t fix it. I had to log off and come back lol.

        Yeah been buggy for me since elswyr :( but worse for event. Bar change lag invisible enemies, invisible red areas etc

        This is the exact same for me. The Firecasters just slide around the arena shooting fire and can't be targeted. It's pretty funny but really weird.
        I also had problems connecting light attacks and heavy attacks to enemies, couldn't target them or would just attack and it would be like I was hitting the air next to the enemy.

        In Australia, we dream of playing with 120 ping. I average 200-300 ping on a good day. What I could do with 80 ping😆

        I wish ping wasn't such an issue, especially true for those in Australia. People with high ping that still manage to complete difficult content, my hat's off to you!

        Final boss doesnt come back down after the crystals are destroyed. 2nd time running it and both times he just stays floating. Tried getting a screenshot but ghosts and adds make it impossible

        To be honest I was expecting vMA to be far worse during the event.

        I have noticed mobs moving when they shouldn't, such as archers spinning slightly when shooting cones, resulting in a curving barrage of arrows.

        A Venomcaller spawning and running out of her pedestal to go stand in the middle of the arena where she couldn't be hit. However I saw where she had spawned and dropping AoEs on the pedestal killed her just fine. The trolls also seemed to hop/teleport very slightly but only a couple of feet.

        The round that gave me the most trouble was the 8th. Fire mages unable to be bashed, I had to dodge and heal like crazy until they stopped. Flameknight chaining me before the animation. And the lurchers would slap me all the time. All. Dodging made no difference. Running out of the AoE made no difference. I had to face-tank them and try not to die.

        Yar, abilities not working depending on where the enemy is standing. Happens on quite a few stages and enemies. Makes LA weaving a loss in dps.

        Arena 7 is seriously bugged at the moment - the boss and venom callers are all over the place doing weird things - the boss was actually kind of jogging in place and then appeared somewhere else lol. This kind of stuff has happened in all five of my event runs - so I don’t think it’s me :)

        Generally the rest of it seems OK (well, for vMA) apart from a record high ping of 350+

        I can’t understand how a solo arena has worse issues than Cyro lol.

        New bug: The arena won't reset.

        The little guy is acting like I've accepted his quest, telling me about the next arena (I don't have the quest). The portal to the arena is there but just leads back to the lobby.

        EDIT: Nevermind, I still had the quest. It was just marked as "talk to little guy to complete quest". But I already did that. Talking to him repeatedly does nothing, you have to drop the quest.

        I was on a flawless run when I died to the scream when I was in the shield. That was still the only time I died on that run. Ridiculous.

          The bugs and lag are killing my chances for Flawless on the rest of my characters. I'm always finishing 14/15 or 13/15 because of enemies not being where they're supposed to be or taking damage from nothing between or after rounds.

          The arena has been hanging (long delay) in some rounds causing enemies to attack me before round start times. ( I can't see them and I don't see the damage until all at once when the round starts)

          lol, flawless run going with all rounds running smoothly........ until stage 7. Buggy ass stage had desync issues where i couldn't attack a mob (glad i had pets), spores popping beneath me that did not show on screen, and standing in cleanse pool with no effect happening. just lol. a 560k run turned into a 3 death 536k run :(. rounds 8 and 9 back to smooth play.

          My top annoying encountered bugs in vma:
          * the enemies are suddenly porting to another location on the map and my attacks don't get registered.
          * At the ice stage, the slow down ice effect don't go away even if i cleanse myself multiple times
          * At stage 7: poison phase starts while the shouting is happening or a new plant spawns right under the protective shield
          * Venom callers moving around on the map, and I can't hit them. I have to go to the platform where they stood on and attack that
          * at stage 8: roll dodging the attack of the big guys, and still get hit (amazing hitbox)
          * At the end boss: bashing or interrupting skill doesn't stop Valkyn from doing his necro swarm
          * Roll dodging his attack, and still get hit and stunned
          * Being stuck between the daedroth, mage and valkyn skoria (can't roll dodge) and then he does his aoe attack.
          * On my magplar my jabs don't hit sometimes, when im clearly in range

          On more annoying that, but it's not really a bug i think(?)
          * stage 6: when the little spiders come out, and you have to go the light pillar, i had the enemy up that could cast a dome that you can't use mag skills when underneath it and then at the same time, the boss does that massive lighting attack. A++ timing

          Oh and I've got a steady 60fps and 80ping, so can't blame the desync issues on that.

          had a few new ones since my first 10 runs, had stage 5 boss knock me through the world and also had the stage not end when boss died, had stage 8 flameshapers unbashable because of a location desync and had the bubble not protect me 3 time on stage 9 from the bosses roar. I feel like i could write a book about the bugs maelstrom has

          Venomcallers spawn in the middle of the room. Mobs spawn between rounds. Animations and AOE cover 110% of the arena. Resurrecting on the top ring for last boss, then dying when jumping down?

          I thought these were all features for vMA+2 :smiley:

          I kept respawning and redying under ice in Rink of Frozen Blood, then when I finally got out, I froze and died next to the wayshrine. I don't have video of that one.
