I still love this game

IT NEEDS TO BE SAID!!!

I have seen the bugs, I have experienced lag (though I play with bad internet while on hols) and I have had moments of seeing a lack of walls even though I’m running the game with a 1070 (laptop) chip.
I have seen the bad animation issues.
I have sat in a BG when a group won’t fill.
I have been in Cyrodiil when lag is so bad half the skills won’t fire (but that might be my bad internet)
I have sat for ‘hours’ (overstating here) when I can’t get into a dungeon.

I STILL CAN’T COMPLETE VMA!!!

BUT:
I love this game and I can’t stop playing.
I love the quest styles.
I have played WoW, doesn’t fix my ‘freedom’ itch.
I have read about FFXIV, I don’t even want to try playing it considering what I’ve read tbh, I don’t know if anyone wants to try and persuade me otherwise.

I love this game for how it lets me:
Kill the people I’ve meant to save. (Brotherhood/general murder instincts)
Rob the people I’m meant to save. (Thieves Guild/general thieving instincts)
Look like the bad guy for the people I’m trying to save. (Justice system in general:Necromancer)
Still save the people I’m meant to save (main quest, can’t leave that out)

Now...I’ll admit that I’m writing this after having more than a few drinks...and this thread might be locked...

BUT:

There is no other game that I have thrown so much money at. Jfc...

Please don’t move too much towards the real moniesss side ZOS. I

I think you guys are doing an amazing job so far.

Balancing is still needed, it’s always needed, people find the ‘perfect’ build and everyone uses that which means things need to change to keep it fresh, I get that...and so do many others. Yes it’s annoying, but the pot has to be stirred.
Keep at it!!!

Plz donate gold to ‘stayers’ if you’re leaving this game.
If you have already left but still haunt the forums, I am not the Necromancer for you.

I stopped doing PvP and dungeons some time ago. Horrible lag, constant nerfs :'(

I did Walks Like Thunder word boss in Murkmire yesterday, just me and two other players: my FPS dropped to 40, in addition to it the boss was lagging and teleporting all over the place, our attacks were often not registering (as we discussed after we finally killed him)...

...Then I continued my questing. It was so pleasant to simply walk around in peace, imagining that my character was part of Lion King or Avatar

I play to escape real world and relax, and yesterday I stopped questing only when I accidentally saw that it's 2:20 A.M.
For many hours, I forgot about everything else and I was just following story, reading notes and looking at beautiful world

And I've spent hour near that waterfall, then I spent some time running different mounts through the muddy puddles nearby just to hear the funny sound of their paws and hooves

After a long hectic stressful day at work it's nice to come home and just lose myself in the game. There are times I will just sit and listen the the sounds of a waterfall and marvel at the beautiful depth of color and sparkle in the water. Other times I'll quest and lose myself in the mini stories and be amazed at how you can actually get attached to quest npcs. Sometimes I farm, sometimes I fish... I am going to have to try the mounts thru muddy puddles tho, that is just awesome!

I must still love it, as I play it every day. My wife calls it an addiction, then she turns on the tv to watch one of the “Housewives of”
programs or some other reality show every day. Hmmmm....

This is a good reminder that there are still players whose main concern isn't PvP and/or endgame PvE, and I honestly think they are a majority of the playerbase even though they seem to be a minority on the forums.

I do PvP and endgame PvE. I am just fortunate and don’t get the horrible lag and disconnects that so many others get unless I’m on my laptop using WiFi. I have no idea why, I just count my blessings. It happens to way too many people to be only a hardware issue, as some of them have specs on par with mine.

While it struggles with all the MMO issues, bugs, and money-grabbing, it really is a beautiful game with in-depth lore and some memorable characters and quests.
