We have arse for passive class synergy. And now, they are taking sword and shield away, forcing everyone to run Dizzying Swing while being a slow, immobile (awesome 65% speed debuff hoorah!), punching bag for snipe/frag spammers.

The fix to shield stacking has always been Major/Minor shields (so they cannot stack), but they seem to be completely confused by the concept they just keep nerfing shields the wrong way. Twenty second long shields needed to be toned down though.Edited by CambionDaemon on July 9, 2019 4:32PM1 -

✭✭✭✭✭I'm waiting to see where the chips fall. The last attempt to nerf was absolutely too much with shield cast time but the revert wound up making sorcs possibly as strong as ever maybe better.
Right now they're reducing the streak cost rebuff, as if sorcs aren't just streaking away as is. And the CC is no longer blockable. I suppose it may not be engaging now to not rely on shields and in stead have to streak a lot more often but streak could be interesting if they ever make.melee magicka weapons.1 -

Main pet sorc here btw. ZoS is balancing AoE DoTs, so the hits on monkey and liquid lightening is justified. Matriach is debatable imho. Tormentor is being made weaker than the times no one used it (lol) shields are... a bummer. Since we dont have a proper class heal, i was using shields mostly when tanking on my mag sorc main (minor intelect to group~~~) but now since they are nerfing everything i will just stop using monkey, and finally get a pet that will give me the heals i deserve. Even though bar space. Anyway. Adapt.1 -

✭Yes nobody will think of the poor sorcerers!!!I'm a good little magsorc, I don't do pvp or do bgs with my pets, I always unsummon flap-flap in towns and I only use my shields to survive the big pve bad guys. Flap-flap is always rescuing players from certain death at dolmens, world bosses and in dungeons. But it's still not enough!! So much hate for my poor scaly little friends. And now I will likely never get past the last round of VMA, after they nerf my shield AGAIN! *sobs*.PC EU & NA4 -

darkblue5✭✭✭✭✭Probably still one of the better solo PvP classes next patch, negate spamming pairs very scrumptiously with unblockable Streaks, and the shield nerfs are real but certainly don't ruin shields.
In PVE petsorc was worse than maximizing stamcro and it still will be next patch so.... eh. #NerfThemAll0 -

Out of curiosity I copied my character from Live over to PTS and smacked a 3mil dummy.
Without changing anything (same CPs, same gear, same skills, same rotation) I wind up losing 3-4k.
That's it.
Once my build is updated to reflect the PTS changes, that deeps loss will be erased.

I get people don't like the pets for targeting issues but they are not overpowered in the sense that they hold up a skill slot on each bar which should be a cosideration imo1
