Trash community, good luck keeping this game alive

Wow, so like someone hurt your feeling so your first response is to come here, cry about how the community is trash, thus insulting all of us and what? We're suppose to feel bad for you now? Um yeah, this kind of attitude is what's wrong with the world today. You met a toxic player, period. Happens in every mmo, get over it.

This is vet2 dungeon. If you are not doing at least 20-25k stable dps self-buffed, it's too early for this dungeon, tank simply saved your time. Blame ZOS for lack of clear dungeon requirements, not tank.
If tank was wrong and your dps is good enough, then I may advice to complete Veteran Maelstrom Arena and use Stormproof title from there - it's like a flag for low-CPs to show that they are good players.
And yeah we all on this forum carried countless amount of random newbies through various content, don't even start to trash everyone.

Every community has toxic people in it but most of the people I've met on this game have been decent. Though it is true there are a lot of Elitists on this game and it sounds like the tank you ran into fits into this description. Either way it's not fair to call the whole community trash just because of a few toxic people.

Completely not relevant to the topic but it just caught my eye that OP (who has been playing for 3 months) has a beta account name. Neither interesting nor relevant, and not really worth posting - but I was bored!.

To be fair not surprising. This is a beta account but could never really got into the game till recently(really due to the One Tamriel update). There are probably a ton of former beta players who bailed at release given the state it was in, to comeback recently. Especially given how lackluster the MMO market is atm.

    Me and my friend started playing ESO about 3 months ago, despite the technical difficulties and etc. we'd been somewhat enjoying ourselves, leveling, doing dungeons and learning the game. We read up on everything, we were prepared when we went into our first Veteran Dungeon at CP160. People were quiet, but sure, whatever and a few were *** because we were new, but today honestly what happened just perfectly encapsulates this community;

I'm CP 301, my friend is CP 245, we sign up to do our daily Veteran which we've both been doing regularly. (I should even add we both have our monster sets and have cleared nearly all of the non-DLC dungeons on veteran at least once). Que today, we join Crypt of Hearts 2 Veteran and immediately our tank says "GL" followed by "Low level CP shouldn't be able to do vet" he sticks both of us on ignore before we can even say anything and leaves the guild. Sure, we got a replacement, we finished it without a single wipe but what's the point if this is people's attitude?

Like seriously the cesspool of scum that plays this game, good luck keeping it alive you braindead *** when you treat newcomers to the game like this.

This is par for the course with any online game you play. Not everyone in this community is trash, some are and sadly you may run into those players from time to time. Just look at it like this, it is a one and done most often when playing with other people in an MMO.

I hardly ever run into the same people that often, queue up for a dungeon or join a group most often you wont see that same person again.

Just keep your head up, ignore the crap that people fling and try and have fun with your friends.
I am patient with stupidity but not with those who are proud of it.

The above is not really helping your case. Regardless, if you stick around you'll find for every bad encounter, there are more pleasant ones, and also, being a receiver of such a behaviour is not exclusive to your CP--you just happened upon an impatient player that'd rather wait 15 min in queue instead of giving you and your friend a chance. It was shortsighted on their part, and a peril of using the group finder in general, but nevertheless does not warrant such a rant.

Many PvE guilds have a cp and dps requirement before you will even get accepted in a group doing vet dungeons or trial content with that guild. That is the way this game has been for some time. However, if you ask the veteran trial and dungeon players in a guild you are in to help you farm some vet gear they are more than happy to do it. They will also help you to increase your dps output and cp leveling.

I don't think I can roll my eyes at this statement any harder. Such nonsense. Vet2 dungeon. lol Oh no not a vet2 better get a group of 810 cause its vet2 so scary. not a single non-DLC vet dungeon needs 20-25k DPS.That tank didn't "save" anyones time. Heres some advice don't make stupid snap judgments before you even start the dungeon. Or think some dumb title proves anything. I have cleared vet2's with CP 160's that were excellent players. You are the exact problem with this community the ones that sees a CP lvl and makes stupid judgments based on that. I have seen tons of CP 810's that have no idea what they are doing.

The tank that left immediately was probably "mostly" fake. A "mostly fake take will have a shield and taunt, but not have the defense or HP to take a hit and keep the mobs in place. He didn't want to get exposed.

Sorry you got a crap tank but if this is how you see things, one butthole makes the whole community a group of buttholes, then maybe you're better off without us and we're better off without you.

This community is awesome in general, no 100%, but far from what you say.

If you want a piece of advice, don't use GF, grow a thicker skin over time, and then use GF. I play pugs most of times and I either find great people or quiet people, very very rarely a jerk, and I just vote to kick. Simple as that, move on.

All in all, the fact that you indirectly called me a butthole makes me not wish the best for you though. You're too hot headed and too quick to judge. How many hours of this game you have? 30?-50? I've been here for over 3.5k hours... When you have enough hours on your clock, you can judge the community as much as you want, but being this low level you haven't been around enough to know how good or how bad things are.

Have a good day though. And maybe play something else for a couple days to chill off. :)

As a side question: is it really that easy to make ~300 CP within three months these days?!?!

I remember that it took months for my wife and I to reach VR1 when the game first came out. :D

I just told the facts. This is pledge day, tank needed 2 keys. If they are usual "we have monster set" below CP300 dps, no way they will complete it in HM, without kicking one of them. Also you don't know the full truth, maybe tank left after first pulls when they were trying to kill vet2 mobs for a minute...
And as I said I carried ton of newbies with low dps when I know there is no hard dps checks. CoH 2 has such checks.
Here is a screenshot for you from vCoA2 where I was killing last 500k HP of enraged Skoria on sh**ty sorc tank with 1300 weapon damage for 5+ minutes, falling below 50% HP each several seconds, just to carry my noobs (there was below CP200 healer and dps and one dps was okay, but obviously he didn't survive enraging since healer was too low CP):

As well as craglorn HM's with our below CP300 guys... And as I said we don't know full truth, maybe tank waited for first pulls. And all thisis obvious to any "veteran" player, so I don't know why you are enraging at me. If newbies wants to avoid such situations, they may simply wear Stormproof/FC...

more elitist nonsense from you as usual. I have done vet hm's with people under 300 that were pug groups. you act like a players own competence and skill don't exist its just all CP lvl. If the tank was so right as you say then they wouldn't have got a replacement and had no wipes. It was just a snap judgment by a tank on seeing a CP lvl. simple as that.

and I am not "enraging" at you just because I am calling you out on thinking CP lvl means everything and disagreeing with you.

I already wrote several times that:
    a) I am ok to carry low-CP low-DPS newbies if mechanics allow it
    b) we didn't know how OP's situation was in practice, maybe tank waited for first pulls to evaluate group dps

"If the tank was so right as you say then they wouldn't have got a replacement and had no wipes."
Also phrases like this just show that you don't have idea about what you are talking about. And nobody ought to carry you, ok, if you don't want to complete VMA as requirement, those newbies may simply join guild and run with guild members. I have nothing against to farm gear/achievements for new talkative and active guild member, but why should I sit for an hour in trivial dungeon to carry random toxic noob like OP and end up with 1 key as result? this is just nonsense.
