✭✭✭✭✭I noticed the new sound too, it makes me feel worried about my characters; it's like they're having a really traumatic 'shock to the system' experience every time they rez, which I guess is fitting and adds to immersion, but it still makes me feel bad for them

Gaggin✭✭✭✭I'm not one to complain about immersion, but this is nails on a chalkboard. You dont just hear your own, you can hear them go off one after another at rez points. It's right up there with casting necro skills in towns. Summon skelly? Die criminal! Summon anything else, cast a fire storm in town square? No problem.
Maybe if they only had with the ultimate and not respawns...1 -

✭It's not gasping, it's inhaling air for the first time since you have been resurrected after your soul have been returned back. There's also new reviving animation, some invisible force is pulling you up.

I'd prefer worrying about the game working better, the EU server issues, the lag, etc. It's like having a headline about the Kardashians when the world is in this state of crazy. But hey, I guess whatever floats your guar.2 -

✭✭I love it 😍 the new animation is nice too. No longer does your character just go from a pile of warm meat to standing as if nothing happened. Now you do actually see and hear that you have been brought back from the dead.PC - EU:

There really are other things in this game to get annoyed about but this is what you choose to be annoying lol. Your dead you stop breathing come back to life you would take a large breath of air so its realistic.1 -

✭✭Is this a new punishment for dying? I haven't died recently, but now I'm dreading the next time I fall off a cliff or have to die to get through some horrible stealth quest.
I really hate the sounds of labored breathing-- just yuck
It's bad enough hearing me and hubby choke and cough our way through this year's strain of unholy death plague

In this world's state of crazy you and I are both on a gaming forum, so we both might as well worry about the Kardashians at this point
Server issues and lag are hard to fix, this nails on a chalkboard noise isn't. If realism is such a strong argument why not have the bodies revived shrieking in terror for a good 20 seconds? That is more realistic and wont get old at all, right?

Me too. It is a quite necromantic joke. I dont mind the animation, but the sound is a pain.1 -

✭✭✭I try to make a point of not dying, plus I don't PVP here, so I don't hear it that often.
Mainly only when I lag trying to kill a dragon and/or its AOE is buried under the terrain, so you can't see it.0 -

✭✭I leveled 5 characters in battlegrounds after Elsweyr, so this nasty gasping sound had plenty of time to annoy me...
Animation of resurrection is ok I think.
But new players who've joined after Elsweyr will never see what it looked if they "died while mounted" :'(
Now if a character dies mounted, the mount immediately disappears, it looks really weird
