You gotta build for it at least. Seen A LOT thinking you just need that morph and get killed.

Personally I much prefer the Ravenous Goliath

Yeah was disappointed wasn't as OP as forums made it out to be. You must have to build for it to work.

    Agreed.

On console a lot of players just slotted the morph. I have died once with it on my tooltip, it hit me for 2k twice - that's nothing; clearly not a build made for it.

To me, giving up glyphs is massive; especially on a Stam build

Yeah, the ult really not that spectacular against people who know what they’re doing. My necro hit Undaunted 9 today, so I felt ready to take it into BGs properly. Outside of one match where no one knew how to counter it, I found it underwhelming.

I still need to tinker with the necro a bit to see if it’s best to build around bow or 2H. For now... feeling a bit underwhelmed by it, but some of the mechanics are new (e.g. corpse tether) and need some getting used to.

I ran into the same situation with Goliath. Killing people with bash wasn't very exciting or engaging. Bow/2H feels pretty good on StamNecro so far.

Take any heavy 7th/fury/bloodpsawn build and you have 20k bash tooltip (counting S&B passive).

    um no
    my bash ttp is 9k
people are hacking to get those tooltip

I hit players at most for 3k in pvp

This is using Mechanical Acuity/Vicious Death with infused bash glyphs/Balorgh.

No undaunted on this character yet and all most of the gear is purple, so pretty sure it can go higher with those mentioned above sets :P

Still waiting to see the pic of a BG Goliath doing... Really anything tbh

Still waiting to see a pic of a BG necro doing anything, PERIOD. The class is kind of pitiful in no-CP from what I’ve seen so far, stam OR mag. I’m hoping it’ll be a decent support tank for Cyro, otherwise I’ll be pretty annoyed that I wasted all that time grinding Undaunted on mine.

Medium Armor in No-CP isn't too bad. I ran BGs this weekend to get Vigor, was able to pull off some decent fights out numbered and some with my group mates. Getting the Blastbones to connect is paramount to playing the class effectively it seems.

Spirit Mender is also super important for HoT, damage reduction, and 200 mag/stam recov.

Too bad the HOT (at least on the Intensive Mender morph) frequently doesn't work. I honestly think mine doesn't heal more often than it does, even if I'm not moving around.

I guess I need to just put the Magicka Necro on the shelf for a while, ZOS isn't fixing the bugs nor improving all the design flaws. Time for more skyshard hunting and skill leveling on the Stam Necro, I guess...

That HoT will also go to the people around you, but yeah it's not what's great about it. The extra recov and damage reduction is pretty good.

Personally I would pick the damage reduction morph over the frequent heals. We got better options for consistent heals anyway.

The Intensive Mender's heal is no joke when it actually works, and if it functioned as it should I think it'd be a tossup between the two morphs. Maybe it won't be like my Warden's Netch, which didn't cleanse (making it identical to the baseline, unmorphed skill) for a few months after Morrowind's release.

I guess it makes sense to spend the money to switch to the other morph for now, since it seems to actually function like it's supposed to (the damage reduction portion, at least, not sure if that heal is also bugged).

I haven't noticed the Mender issues specifically; but the 10% damage mitigation one - in order for it to be as effective - you gotta take some major hits per sec (or 2 sec however you wanna look at it). Even the lowest max stats gives a 5k tooltip vs like a 1600, gotta be taking something like 10k per sec to make in damage to make up that difference.

The only reason I can see to use the mitigation one on a mag build is because you wanna backbar it and don't wanna have to keep it up for passives

IIRC the Spirit Guardian lasts 16 seconds compared to the 8 seconds the other one gives. Which also ups time on Undead confederate passive. That is the other reason why I run that morph.
