You do not really have to build for it tough...just slap on normal stamina pvp gear with full weapon damage und you will gain enough bash power to be deadly as goliath and still efficient outside of the goliath form.

correct, you do not need to build for it to see how op it is. When you do build for it it is inanity. 4 bash spammers synergizing is ridiculous. zos needs to release a necro pre-made build to the assist class skill thing that builds you for it but calls it 'perfectly balanced' as the build name.

In a 1v1 or Xv1 (1 is the necro in that case) there are 2 simple counters to the goliath ult... smart people slowly start figuring out, the rest is posting nonesense on the forums.

A shield leveled skilline to 28 is enough to get double the damage and maybe throw some CP in there, just 30 or so. My Stamcro can play fine without bash but when weapon damage procs are up and I am in form, I can hit from 5-8k on players in AOE depending on their resists. Also noticed getting hit by it myself while I was on the other side of the door way in a keep towere where I thought LOS would have saved me. Shield charge has a stun also so you can gap close and melt someone before they can break

I play no CP BGs. You gotta get the glyphs, gotta get SNb, and dmg etc. You gotta build for it here; CP adds a lot to the build

Fair enough but it also impact mitigation. They just really should not tie damage to an important mechanic of breakfree/interrupt.

Only thing the glyths do really is reduce the cost, the added dmg is negliable compared to the boost to bash from the ult.

A generic pvp setup is fine.


Of course some people are gonna stack wpn dmg but even then it's not really building for it.

Getting snb and wpn dmg is not building for it. Its just playing a normal stamina build. You dont need to build for it. But people just "build for it" anw because its such a hilariously dumb mechanic to the point where you want to just push it to the extreme even if it means gimping ur build outside of the ult just to see how hilariously dumber it can become.

Yeah was disappointed wasn't as OP as forums made it out to be. You must have to build for it to work.

On console a lot of players just slotted the morph. I have died once with it on my tooltip, it hit me for 2k twice - that's nothing; clearly not a build made for it.

To me, giving up glyphs is massive; especially on a Stam build

Yeah, the ult really not that spectacular against people who know what they’re doing. My necro hit Undaunted 9 today, so I felt ready to take it into BGs properly. Outside of one match where no one knew how to counter it, I found it underwhelming.

I still need to tinker with the necro a bit to see if it’s best to build around bow or 2H. For now... feeling a bit underwhelmed by it, but some of the mechanics are new (e.g. corpse tether) and need some getting used to.

every ultimate is OP if you just keep spamming your no dmg doing 1 skill while soaking up all the dmg from the ult... even if build for it like i did on my necro, the only people that are dieing from it are the ones with no HP and no care in the world about rolling/shielding or running away while than proceeding to whisper you how OP and cheesy it is..

sure it should get some changes like f.e removing the healing part or the massive hp gain but people dieing from a low range bash spam is their own fault.

just light attack them, If they have build for it, they will be out of stam from blocking all the attacks and unable to bash.

SnB has been overdue for nerfs. The Goliath ult is just going to be an excuse.

I'd like to see them add the AoE damage to light attacks instead. No need to add a 1s cooldown to bash, or need the s&b passives

It will; unfortunately, probably like warden, it'll receive the nerfs but won't be compensated.

You don't need to build for it.

Take any heavy 7th/fury/bloodpsawn build and you have 20k bash tooltip (counting S&B passive).

True the +20 to blocking buff serveral patches ago should not been applied to S/B w/o nerfing block cost reduction. No one should just hold shield out to block that is poor gameplay and just broke.

Exactly, console can't abuse certain aspects of the game, or use add ons, or move the camera as quickly. But we receive the same nerfs. (Oh and no pet control)

The controllers themselves have limitations (such as removing thumbs from joysticks to hit buttons, therefore losing control on every ability - something PC players don't have to experience

@Waffennacht eggy don't u rebind your other buttons like sprint and bar swap to your joystick buttons so you never have to remove your fingers from the sticks to cast.
