My guild plays noncp (10-14 organized magicka heavy with defined roles) and we replaced two bombblades with magcro alts and they perform as well or better. Our bombers wear harmony for synergies of course (and Spinners VD) and having a self-synergy on pushes is really nice on top of other synergies. Main ult is still destro or colossus. With the necros we got more tanky with minimal damage loss.
We’ve also encountered really strong groups around 8 in size that run 3-4 stamcros with the Goliath bash spam and we’re getting hit for around 6k per bash. Our only defense right now is have a magplar hit remembrance and the magblade support hit soul siphon while we try to get out of the way. Compound this with being negated and encased—if our purgers and healers are in the negate we’re superf***ed. It’s pretty frustrating at the moment.
So still working on a counter. Full stam group, or use Goliath cheese ourselves? Rather not have to do that.- PC/NA

It is an excellent support tank. It has all the tools a pvp tank can dream of, AOE debuff to foes, AOE buff to friends, AOE CC, AOE root, heal negate on target, self purge & self healing. And a handy passive pull vs ranged. Even when they go full tank they are still useful in BG's. Had one in a match today who had 45k health and was immortal. Our entire team wasn't able to kill him. He obviously didn't do any damage, but each time he went in Pummeling Goliath mode he still didn't do insane damage, but enough to score some kills. His continuous AOE debuffs & CC were annoying, and if he got to a flag first there was no chance of the other teams getting that flag.0 -

Hmm. I just threw together a health regen and resistance oriented support/troll tank that did really well in the one BG I tested it with. Was playing against obvious potatoes though (got 14 kills and zero deaths with under 200k damage done, using just Silver Leash, Blastbones, Heroic Slash and Reverse Slice for damage, plus the occasional bout of bash spam), so it’s hard to really know how it would perform against competent players. I’ll have to try it again during the next weekday I have off from work, as that’s when I’m most likely to encounter the tryhard 24/7 BG types on PS4 NA.0 -

Infused bash damage jewelry and you will have no trouble reaching 11 kills. For as long as they don't nerf it (I'm sure they won't until their sale targets have been reached lol)0 -

I can build a VERY solid Stam necro (without bash cuz that's probably gonna get nerfed) but I am struggling to make a solid mag build. I'd even do a hybrid; but that just wants to be a pure Stam build0 -

I leveled up a Stamina Necromancer, but need to get a decent build figured out + get a ton more skill points before I go into max level BGs. There have been a number of BGs on my Magicka Necromancer where I can get a solid kill-death-assist ratio, and save quite a few lives with some offhealing. But I'm not delusional - that sort of performance is only possible due to disorganized teams with players that aren't too great. As soon as I start encountering some of the players that are actually good, it becomes painfully obvious that the Magicka Necromancer is woefully underpowered in an offensive role.

After watching my addon a little, it seems as though Blastbones' damage isn't counted on BG scoreboards. It might help soothe the ego a little if that changes, but the class is still going to be terrible for offense when compared to a Mag Sorc, or Stamina-anything.1 -

Don't disagree with that, my point is Goliath is not very useful in BGs unless teams don't scatter / Los / be good
Edit: I'm at work lol -. Goliath Bash is OP in Cyrodiil, where you have tons of enemies, chokepoints, keeps etc. You can build ult/ have teammates.
In BGs, Goliath again is good but it's effectiveness is completely reduced by killing opponents (they respawn and wait out your ult) they scatter (can only chase 1)
Yes you will get a/some kills, but that's per transformation. How many per BG you get?

@cheemers I should have said death match I suppose, spending 6 min to kill the one 810 player and then grabbing the ball (which makes people come to you) and then (dunno how many kills if any cuz not death match)
If anything it shows how weak Goliath is in BGs
This is my 2nd BG with this class having just hit 50, don't have fighters guild undaunted or anything and it still feels ridiculous once you transform. In objective games the enemy players have no option to contest while you're in bash form. UndeniablyAVG✭✭✭✭They should just remove the passive that increases bash damage from the SnB skill line. People complain that SnB does too much damage in PVP anyway as you can weave in a bash with every global cooldown. It would also half the damage on this Goliath Bash.
Why does a PVE tank need to deal extra damage with their bash? It all just seems a bit unnecessary to me.

Leave the s&b passive alone.
