That aside: Great compilation of what is clearly the amazingly creative imagination of bayushi, come to life thanks to EHT.

I'm not sure why there is a need for a long list, here?

I only saw one person whining (or voicing a complaint) and that was the guy who says he doesn't like techno.

I will "just" add, though, that some of us "just" like making pretty houses, because we "just" enjoy interior design and there is nothing wrong with that, either.

Not everything has to be overly dramatic, or extraordinary-looking, to be good.

In fact, often, it's the other way around.

I think you missed the point here - this video is to show what Essential Housing Tools can help one do IF they want to. In that regard EHT is an add on for these, for whom the in game housing editor is not enough. It won't help you much if you want to decorate your house so it looks pretty, but there is no alternative to EHT if you dream of animated flying unicorns for your mystical forest!

P.S. I always consider flying unicorns hazardous. Watch for horse apples dropping from the sky...

Does kind of infer that doing anything other than the spacey and outlandish is "just" lesser.

Even if that wasn't the intention.

That's all I'm saying.

Bearing in mind we (women, mostly) already get accused of "playing house" and "playing dress-up", even by some devs (albeit, unofficially), already.

Now, we're "just" decorating/building, unless we make a space station (or similar) with EHT.

Stings more when the only "house" available in Elsweyr (without paying extra) is a gimmicky and weird mixture of space station, ruin and museum/tomb.

...and even the Crown Store one is badly/illogically designed and pretty gimmicky, too.

We have been relegated to a tiny inn room, for God's sake.

The "don't just..." doesn't always end with "dramatic" - sometimes it is "amazing" or any other word. He changes it. It's left open ended for a reason. Previous videos have showcased gardens even. You should go watch them, they are awesome videos. Nobody is criticizing anyone, quite the opposite, the housing community is supportive and tries not to belittle anyone, including those who don't use the program.

I find it more like "here you have a tool, don't just build something, build something what you find dramatic/amusing/spectacular/funny/spacious/creepy/*put any adjective you like here*". I find it motivating.

I remember myself seeing one of the very first Immaculate Construction tutorial videos... I was sitting with my mouth open thinking "*put a juicy swearword here*, can I really do that?" I've seen a chance of creating the space the way I want it, not that somebody does "the thing" better.

I build it grand, many a time strange or crazy, but I know there are plenty of people who find it overdone and try to achieve modern/realistic feel for their homes. Absolutely not my pair of shoes, what does not change the fact, that they are great at what they do and can create things I wouldn't even think about. It's comparing apples to oranges. Just a matter of different style imho.

That's what I'm talking about. Different styles. You won't find me building a Bag End but Barad-dur, what doesn't make Bag End any "less worthy".

Just to clarify, i like the EHT AddOn very much. It's just that the techno soundtrack ruined this particular video for me.

It's not exactly my cup of tea either but I don't watch these videos for music (I gots Spotify for that!😀) I engage with this section of the forums to be inspired by and support the amazing creativity of a great community.... as should we all.

If you read my posts above, i think it is clear that my gripe is with the (IMHO) horrid techo soundtrack, not with the video content or the AddOn.
