Yes, indeed I think it is. But... been there, posted that:Is it time for new eso race?
As I said there, that would be iffy as it'd clip through half the doorways and some dungeon passages...I want to see Minotaur
Maormer would be my first choice. I mean... the race is in the game, they have two seperate crafting styles, and they could easily be done like a lightning-loving mer race akin to the fire-loving dunmer... I could see them happen with very, very little effort on ZOS part, an ideal case for "testing the waters" to see how many people would actually pay crowns for a new race...EdoKeledus wrote: »Maormer or Tsaesci.
All possible (if they decide reachmen are a seperate race and not just barbaric bretons - it is likely they will just be considered bretons, just like ashlanders are no seperate race from the standard dunmer... but... that is up to ZOS in the final word.)Reachmen and Imga
Gobbos might be doable. Iffy, and likely legally in trouble (double bounty for every criminal act? Perhaps even random "harassment" bounty just for being gobbos???)Goblins or Falmers
Completely impossible with the ESO storyline.Wildberryjack wrote: »Dremora. I want to play a demon. Think about it, cool skins, awesome horns, wicked looking faces. Yeah, Dremora.
All gone and not coming back in the scope of ESO.Dwermer most likely.
...except that is wrong.ryzen_gamer_gal wrote: »The prblem with using the maomer is that they arent really a race, they are just outcast of the highelves...
You mean, win for what? Win for "first elven race wiped out on the continent of tamriel"? Because they were done in by the atmorans and nedes -thousands- of years before the time of ESO, centuries before the battle of red mountain, and so long ago that you will be hard pressed to even find -ruins- of their civilization in skyrim! A few surving NPCs may still be in hiding (we know they are, we met them in TES-V:Skyrim), but that's about it.ryzen_gamer_gal wrote: »Snow Elves for the win
Not exactly a race... and not exactly something I would expect to see accepted as "race" across tamriel. (For all that I have a "Clockwork Kitty" alt following a premise much like that)CleymenZero wrote: »Some guy suggested automaton, that's actually interesting!

Maormer, distrusted by everyone when they first meet you. And any other Maormer you meet calls you a traitor.
Dremora, which Daedric Prince do you serve if any, and do the guards attack you on sight?

Yeah, that would be iffy. As much as an akaviri race for EP, huh?Maormer are in the game but they just would not work for an AD character...

But if you think about it... you -can- play a breton, orc or redguard in EP while your fellow bretons, orcs and redguards are busy slaughtering civilians left and right in the bleakrock - bal foyen - stonefalls invasion questline... and noone bats an eye if you play an altmer, bosmer or khajiit while playing through shadowfen either... or an orc during the malabel tor questlines... or an imperial in reapers march or bangkorai...
...or for that matter, a frigging -vampire- everywhere!!
So, all in all... its not -that- much of a thing, right?
And yeah. I personally would have -loved- it if they had added "build trust" miniquests for non-alliance characters only! Heck, sometimes even for alliance characters (like dunmer needing them in shadowfen only, argonians needing them in stonefalls and deshaan only, and non-alliance races needing them in every region...) And maybe... also take double bounty for every criminal act, just to show a bit of prejudice among the guard?
Alas...not how it went.
True, not the same thing at all.So no it is not the same thing what so ever. Go play Kenarthi's Roost, Auridon and Summerset again and pay attention to the story in ESO. It will help end your confusion about the Altmer/ Maomer relationship in the 2nd era. Also for funsies go read the note upstairs in the Koeglin Village inn.
