That sample size though... The first link has less than 30 parses for most classes, never breaking 100. And the vMA one breaks double digits once.

Not saying that the other post is more truthful, but at least it had a somewhat more reasonable sample size.

I mostly posted this to help fight people jumping to conclusions from just one graph. The fact you mentioned sample size is awesome, that is exactly what people should be doing is using their brains and looking at all factors, not just "0mg sTamNEc so p2W).

Honest question: WTF is going on with magicka necro?

Is it because people just haven't figured out a good build yet or because they, as far as I know, don't have a source of something like major/minor sorcery or are they just plain straight up underpowered?

I haven't really played around with builds yet on my necromancer because I'm concentrating on leveling and acquiring skill points, so I'm really not too sure what's happening there.

Is worth noting that I’ve no idea what I’m even looking at. But the VMA one. How is this thing scored? Why is there 14 Sorc parse and only one Necro or DK. Again. No clue what we’re supposed to be looking at/for.

Crap self-selecting samples are still crap self-selecting samples whichever way you try to tart them up.

    Garbage samples mean garbage stats.

This, now you could probably dump lots of junk into that system to. more serious use would negate this until the manipulators notice they don't need to provide real data.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I believe the low numbers from Mag Necro are mostly the result of the Blast Bones ability. On a Magicka ranged build, it can’t be used reliably in a rotation like on Stam Necro (every 3s). Sometimes it takes 4 seconds to move to the target, sometimes 5 or 6 depending on range, this leads to less efficient, more dynamic rotations, with a higher risk of overcasting and losing the Blast Bones damage entirely. Even worse, it can bug out and not move at all, resulting in several seconds where you can’t even use the ability (around 8 seconds?).

This problem gets multiplied when you consider the targeting dynamic with Siphon. It is an AoE that must be placed on a corpse. Stamcro can always use their Blast Bones since it will be on the dragon (can’t really miss from melee distance). Mag has to deal with the unreliable Blast Bones, that may place its corpse outside of Siphon range to hit the dragon.

TLDR: Stam Necro abilities work, Mag Necro abilities miss and fail, while also being harder to use in ideal circumstances.

MagSorc needs to be split between PetSorc and proper Sorc. Not sure that EsoLogs can do that though.

You first link is not DPS. It's score. So it's an indirect measure of group composition rather than performance.
