Narasingha is another former D&D character. The original version was a leonine centaur (I don't recall the name of the race, half lion half man).
    Wemic?
At least I think there was a half-lion-half-man Wemic race in one of the Monster Manuals. And an Antelope-taur race, the Hybsil.

That sounds right. I plan to give him a lion mount so in a way he'll have a feline "lower half" but anthropomorphic upper body.

Kyrael Windblade - my first character, a bosmer stamblade. I had this name on other games as well and it's like, my calling card for rpg or other mmos.

Ulshun Pral Bonecaster - I am a huge fan of the malazan series and for my nord, sorc healer, I used this fellas name. A bonecaster in the books isn't a healer but the name sounds awesome. It should have been for my necromancer but eh, I'll think of something else.

K'Chain Nah'Ruk - my argonian nb tank. This is another malazan based name, it means Short Tail. I initially wanted K'Chain Che'Malle which means long tails but it was taken. In the books these were lizard engineers with blades as their hands. The Nah'Ruk however, were bad guys.

Barakashi the Elder - my orc Stam DK. In Wow, there was Saurfang the Elder. The name itself I had it in my mind for a short fantasy story I made of a one armed Warlord.

Kalinthar Ravensworn - my dunmer magplar. I intend to change this fellas name or at the very least change him to be a stamplar. Or both. His name was derived from Halilintar, which means the light that comes before the thunder in my native language. Ravensworn is another name that I use on all my other games, it is in fact my @ name even. The funny thing is, this guy is not even my main.

For some reason I can't remember my other characters, my Breton sorc tank, my high elf warden tank, my red guard Stam warden.. But all in all, I usually make up my own names. Gives it a bit more character I think.

    - Elbereth Elf-Born, female Nord, nightblade - Back in TESIII time I was starting the game right after reading LotR books. Elbereth is a name I took from there as it "sounded fantasy". I got further validated with feeling that this name is 'in lore" when I found an elf named Elberoth on Solstheim. It became my tradition to use that character in TES games, I'm just weird like that. When I started ESO the name was already taken so I extended it to Elbereth from Whiterun. With recent free name changes I changed it to Elf-Born to match the backstory I invented for my rp guild on why does a Nord have elven name. It's simple, her daddy is a Dunmer.

    - Dranos Athrys, male Dunmer, warden - This is the daddy. =) I want to remake him as necromancer when Elsweyr comes out. Dranos is just a Dunmer name that sounded nice and Athrys is the surname of one of my favourite NPC's from TES III - Ranis Athrys from the Mages Guild in Balmora.

    - Detritus Fortesque, male Breton, one-eyed templar - Detritus is a Breton name I found on uesp.net and immediately I knew I had to pick that one. It's the name of a troll from the watch of Ankh-Morpork in Terry Pratchett's books and as the character was made originally to be a guard in rp session it did fit perfectly. Fortesque is a tribute to Medievil games where the protagonist is an undead one-eyed knight named Daniel Fortesque. It also just sounds a little bit French to me, so I guess it works as a Breton surname.

    - Wears-Women's-Clothing, male Argonian - Self explanatory I think.

    - Dralas Andrethi, male Dunmer, Temple Ordinator for rp purposes - named after two sleepers (people influenced by Dagoth Ur) from TES III, Dralas Gilu and Dravasa Andrethi. And also after this:

I really enjoy inventing characters and hiding meaning behind their names, as you can see. Is it weird?

I recently added two more characters to my roster.
-Ajira Moon-Walker, female Khajiit - named after my favourite Khajiit NPC from TESIII and Michael Jackson.
-Septimus Closcius, male Imperial - Septimus means "seventh" and he's my seventh character. This was a popular naming pattern for Romans, to name their sons with numbers, so it would be Primus, Secundus, Tertius etc. The last name is taken from Balmora's tavern keeper - Bacola Closcius, he's from, you guessed it, TESIII. I figured Cosades would be too obvious. ;)

My method is more pragmatic than inspired. Both my characters have names I originally created for Dragon's Dogma, Kolbati is my dunmer and my as yet little played khajiit is Kariviri. Aside from something I like that's fairly original my main consideration is that it's easy to pronounce and, in a multiplayer game, also shortens to something I can live with. My husband went years being called Mr. in chat, which wasn't horrible but also wasn't at all what he intended so I keep that in mind.

I have 12 characters. the first 10 are named "I am [the race they are in]", eg I am Breton (for my Khajiit "This on is Khajiit" and my Argonian would have been "I-am-Argoninan", but it was taken :( ). Main reason is laziness. lol.
