Elsweyr - Did you buy the collectors, normal, or not buy at all?

Inoki✭✭✭✭Collectors ElsweyrI always aim for Collector's depending on the price tag. So far prices were OK, so I bought every chapter as a Collector's bundle.
I don't mind paying a little extra for included cosmetics as long as they come with a reasonable price tag. I also frequently buy cosmetics because a) I enjoy them and b) I consider myself a supporter of the franchise that way. A game needs to sustain itself and if we want to see it around in a couple of years some coin will be spent.
One thing that angers me though is, that despite the support we show not much is being done about fixing some of the aspects, like server lag, and general bug fixing. A game should not be only about new content. It should be optimised continuously.
I hope to have consistently high frame rates and play lag free. It's not OK to have decent hardware that struggles with a 5 years old game.☁️ Cloud gamer via NVIDIA GeForce NOW

Unij✭✭✭Collectors ElsweyrI preordered the Collectors edition, because I missed all the previous chapters, got Morrowind only a week after release and Summerset when it was on sale in summer - and missed the costumes, mounts and pets that were part of preorder. But I cancelled my eso+ to get Elsweyer - I'm not going to pay twice for eso in the same month - also I'm not playing much during summer.
I never planned to play Necro but when tested the class on pts I realized that this class has the exact playstyle I tried to force my NB to, when I just started with eso. However my NB will always be my main, and will get even more attention and a new build to adapt to the class changes.Main char is a Strong Nord Man, Thief, Vampire, Healer, Mastercrafter. ✭Did not buy ElsweyrZO$ has a long history of introducing new content that comes with extra glitches, bugs, blue screens and lag, Morrowind and Clockwork City are great examples. I don't bother pre-ordering a game I know won't be fun to play for awhile. But the Crown Store will work great, don't worry *eye roll*5 -

Previous year I pre-ordered Summerset mostly for the Nightmare senche mount.
My plan is patiently wait for release. I don't really like CE senche mount (I suspected it will move like welwa, judging by it's body - and it really does hop like welwa ), but I still find it's rather interesting - so my plan is to wait for better recolors of this mount (I would love pure black cat, or/and
or pure black with black mane!
).
If they don't recolor it during the next year, I will buy "CE+preorder package" from the crown store directly (when Elsweyr "chapter" will transform into DLC).0 -

Then I tried this other MMORPG for a while. The entire game was little more than a transparent in-your-face money grabbing scam with little in the way of meaningful plot, story, and role-playing opportunities This was especially painful because the game is supposed to be based off the seminal tabletop RPG in the world where plot, story, and role-playing are front and center! Played through the main story (if it could even be called that) then uninstalled. For all of its faults, ESO nails plot, story, and RP opportunities on the head. And while additional features are light this chapter - and I really don't care about the necromancer class - the story and lore alone will be solidly worth it as they always are.

I was really hoping this expansion would be the one that brought me back to the game after a 2 year hiatus because I always wanted to play as a necromancer, but at the moment I think they're going to need to rework vampire or add in a new magicka weapon to get my interest again.0 -

JadeCoin✭✭✭✭Did not buy ElsweyrI consider myself primarily a furnisher and a crafter, and I've fallen pretty far behind collecting plans and motifs from previous chapters and the Murkmire DLC.
I also have a lot of alts to finish (Mages Guild, Psijic Order, Undaunted, skill points, etc.). Those alone can keep me busy for months. So it's just too soon to add necromancer to my plate.
I'll get around to it eventually. As long as I have things to do, I'm not in a hurry.

✭physical edition is not a thing and I'm not particularly enamored with CE digital goodies for once. never going to use that style, don't care for a mount, the only thing that gave me a pause - was a pet, and to be honest, we are very likely going to get recolor of it anyways. preorder only goodies on the other hand were VERY desirable for me, so normal edition preorder - it is!
@Linaleah - You could say it (almost) gave you paws...
