yeap , there was, you can watch force videos about before the game came out , he was vet 2 then , but i think the vamp/werewolf stuff was only added when the game came out, not sure.
They were in-game and have been for a very long time now. Live environments magnify certain things compared to a beta environment. Its an MMO.
People found a way to monetize a nieche.
Its not a problem, its brilliant !
You want to be better then them ? Camp the NPCs your self, get biten, do the same for profit.
Putting some effort into a goal makes that goal worth while.
No one is "stealing from you". They are simply better at this game then you
Fact that we have all payed for the game doesn't mean you can simply log in, get stuff, because you paid and are entitled to get whatever you want.
Quoted for emphasis. I'm personally not going around doing anything but selling my bite to willing buyers who want the convenience and immediacy guaranteed, and have not touched a bloodfiend since being bitten, but I can understand why some people might want to do so just like any other rare mob in an MMO that can provide a benefit for keeping camped (loot, exclusivity, etc.). This is not a singleplayer game, and just like any group content, difficult solo content, or PVP, you are not entitled to be able to win at it immediately just because you subscribe.

This is despicable. And sadly human nature.

I imagine it can be real fun to invade the opposing factions as a huge pack of howling werewolvesonly missing Hircine right in front leading us into the hunt!

I know that if I was RP'ing as something akin to the dawn guard I would try and prevent the vampire plague from spreading. But I would kindly stop if the person trying to get bit asked nicely. (and at no cost too!)

If everything was always straightforward it would be boring and would devalue the content.
Becoming a werewolf or vampire can all be summed up in one simple phrase:
"First come, first served"
I logged in one day after work, ran to where the werewolves spawned, and just happened to snatch one up. The great thing was was the fact that there were multiple players around all working together to help each other get bit.
Before that I waited 5 days to get bit.
Seems like people just do not want to put the effort in to something that REQUIRES effort.
i have a real life, unlike some no lifers that plays 24/7 take a look the majority of the paying customers, they are casual players and isnt it boring and devalue content if you spend 100% of your valuable game time trying to achieve a goal BUT wasnt able to DUE to griefers.
