on one hand i would like more (with class balencing ofc.) especially since the undead minions have limited time.. on the otherhand pvp exists. And pets in pvp. are. annoying.

Only because we can target them when we dont want to, and they get in the way of us attacking the real threat.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

In many games, Necro type classes are not limited to one type minion. In ESO, we have the examples of various summons as well.

Skeletons (Glenumbra map necros can summon them), undead mages (again Glenumbra zone), zombies (briarthorn mobs), flesh atronachs (all around ESO) and perhaps more that I can't remember now. So, it is logical to expect minion variety.

yeah then they just reset out of combat and max health or summoned back as soon as you do kill it to get it out of the way. I don't think necro, as it IS will be really much of a problem like that but yeah. I can see not wanting MORE of that in pvp.

Gw2 Necromancers can have multiple permanent undead pets all of which can be out at the sametime. WoW Unholy Deathknights, while not Necromancer in name still fill the same niche, can have permanent ghoul and skeletal archer minions, while still being able to summon a temp gargoyle as well as an ability called Amry of the Dead that raises several undead all at once to temp fight. Grim Dawn, though not an MMO has a Necromancer class with multiple skeletons as permanent minions.

I am fine with temp minions in ESO, but there are way more games than Diablo that feature Necromancers with permanent minions. It's not a stretch to imagine some people would expect that here.

They should have allowed them 2 permanent summons like the Sorc tbh

Noooooooo, don’t want another pet class. The permanent summons are the worst part about sorc.

I mean you can summon only 1 skeleton in like every god dam elder scroll games, 2 in skyrim but I keep reading complaint that ESO Necro should command a full size army of undead. Why ?

And even in the MMO's industri I can only think of 1 necromancers that had more then 1 permanent pet and its in DAoC.

I can understand that some player wished it would be a multi skeleton class but reading the complaint it feel like if ZOS went agaisnt all odds for some reasons.

    Gw2 as well.

Pretty sure in Skyrim Necro Enemies could summon a horde. So.. that would be the reason. You yourself could summon only so many. But the NPC's could summon a lot.

I think a lot of people (myself included) were hoping for an Overlord (the game) type of experience. A true minion class.

People have different ideas of how something "should" be. Because their idea differs from Zos' does make Zos wrong and certainly does not make their counter idea right.

It is like when someone starts off a thread "everyone agrees" on X. They started off with an obviously false statement trying to suggest they know what is best so everyone must agree. In the end they are frustrated so many did not agree but are still living in the clouds thinking they are right.

Give me OP Necro class with army of minions.

    Why?

Because it's cool and I wants it. Other games haves it.

    What about game balance?

    I wants it, precious.

    What about server load?

    I wants it.

Well, to bad you can't have it.

Stinking game. Other games have it. Filthy, stinking game precious. We want OP Necro class.

My Sorceress feels more like playing a necromancer than this necro class: permanent Deadric summon, curses along with consuming trap and leech gear is so much closer to playing necro than a 2-3 second undead summon and some leech/heal skills. C'mon this should be reworked to make it fun!

As with all whys, there is usually more than one reason.

I am excited about necromancer and have no specific expectations, but without reading any of the "complaints" MY answer would be... because it sounds fun!!

As I consider this for half a second my expectation for necros would be fights/abilities like Canonreeve Oraneth in EH I where as you fight her circles are on the ground, with grasping hands showing, and skeletons emerge.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.
