    You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.

    @Vapirko:

    When? Oil is doing like 6k and enemy health bars barely move.

    @Pzschrek:

    Well, we got ball groups just running around dropping siege just to take down walls (I bet they wouldn't if players could damage walls/doors), and counter-siege rarely breaks these balls. Even with Defile on them, their healers easily out-pace the incoming damage. It's only when a sizeable counterstrike group OF PLAYERS pushes do these balls break; sieges don't do anything.

    ((With the festival part dealing with PVP going on. Cyro is locked on all 3 factions and there's usually two balls per faction running around. It's extremely frustrating that we can't defend our holdings at siege cap from a ball of players that numbers around 20.))

    Heck, I remember when CP was first introduced. I came back and was getting wrecked by siege. I literally could not out heal (in blue gear and like 600ish Spell Power) fire ballista. - Fun fact: Most other's could either; seige had a point. Now it's just a way to get the wall or door down or to destroy a ram. But other players? Nah.

    Why even have siege damage players? Might as well just say "only damages structures" and be done with it.

    See, this is what I don't understand about all this. You're....you're completely correct. In fact, this is the very core of my argument. I consider Player vs Player to be a GOOD thing in PVP. Players should, primarily, require being killed by other players.

    Siege should be a support to this, strong situationally, as it is right now.

    If you don't think it's strong, you've never been in a ball group under heavy siege listening to the screams for heals and purges. It still puts a strong group in danger range of an alpha strike by a less competent or more numerous group, and therefore does its job.

    It should NOT do the entirety of the work for them.

    This is what makes me feel like the cries for buffs to siege come from less skilled players who want an item to do the work for them instead of their own character and/or organization. Why pvp at all if you don't want to pvp?

    Can't wait.

    @Pzschrek:

    Um...no. I shouldn't be able to stay at my siege while 5 other siege hit me, and due to the insane damage reduction that CP gives plus the crazy healing going on...not have to worry about dying at all. The only time I ever worry is when a ball group pushes out of a keep/outpost.

    Siege is an excellent counter to the zerg issue...a couple well-placed shots and the zerg is killed. Right now the zerg just stands there and out heals every single siege hit.

    (("But the zerg will just use siege!" | Like I said, couple of well-placed shots and the zerg is now dead.))

    And siege as support? ROFL. Ball groups just run right through that *** and murder everyone. - Been happening all day. 3-5 meatbag catas and the ball just bulldozes the defenders (mostly at Ale bridge).

    Seriously, siege are a minor annoyance right now. How is that "working as intended".

    BTW: Once I get my spell power up (sitting at 1.1k) I'm not bothering to drop siege anymore to try and scatter players. I'm just going to nuke them. - Right now, Siege hits do about 2k more than I do.

    I want skill, discipline, and organization to matter in a Player vs Player contest. You want an “I win” button.

    You and I want to play a different game entirely, which is fair enough I suppose.

    Meh, see my many responses above. Or how I respond in any other PvP related thread.
