This. Flipping Bruma for pve reasons was a bad decision.
Yes, I was in the chapel firing cold fire balistas on people who came in, feared by my fear traps and finished them of with sap essence.

3 towns are in the line of fire. You flip them, you compromise certain keeps.

Cheydenhall? Almost no pvper comes there as it's not important. If you go pve in a pvp area, please first check how it now works.
In the old days no town were involved. But now they are.
You don't like pvp? Well, 4 of the 5 weeks are pve. G'bay

I've been in four diff campaigns today and in all four Vlast was the only city yellow had and in every single one both reds and blues were working together to 'farm' pver's and you can't even do anything if you pvp. I've tried to help AD clear the towns, but any pressure and the pvpers run or gang up and zerg you down. It's pretty disgusting.

I've never cared about the whole faction war thing where you see one side push and the other and you know you'll have a push/pull going on with 3 factions. But when you watch two small groups not fighting each other at all and working together from two alliances to do nothing but grief, then there is a problem with the game and zos has lost control.

Dear ZOS this week 3 event is just lame and I cannot say I enjoy it.

Sadly a lot of PvPers are made up of mindless hoards who just run around in zergs attacking anything that moves. For some reason they think it's satisfying to outnumber someone a gazillion to 1 and then beat them into the ground like packs of savage dogs. I don't get it either. It's kind of pathetic to be honest. And the only reason they enjoy it is because they are trolls who derive some kind of sadistic pleasure at the thought they are killing something controlled by an actual person and causing them grief. It's the only explanation. Because there is certainly nothing else they could enjoy about such a dull one-sided contest.

Because it's fun and because I can. And there's nothing you can do to stop it. Don't like it? Don't go to Cyrodiil.
Don’t like PvE? Then do us all a favor and don’t do PvE quests

It'll be interesting to see what it is like this year. I recall the level of jerk being fairly minimal last year, but back then you could run any daily at any time to earn boxes. The groups doing box runs in Cyrodiil were just respectful of one another regardless of alliances and it was typically only a lone $%#^ or two that caused issues. Usually those people were then attacked ruthlessly by everyone just wanting to run their boxes. Yes - you would see that idiot red getting smeared into paste by both blues and yellows just trying to do their boxes.

Well now full AD party "veterans" are trolling PvErs and camping on cheydinhal city quest givers that enough for you ?
Not to mention it is kind of harassment now cause I cant even get revived properly nor give or take quest meaning they prevent me from participating in the event.

For starters, asking PVP'ers to play PVE in PVP land is like expecting a cougar to sit when commanded to on its home terf.

If this is the devs way to introduce what Cyrodiilic pvp is to the pve'er they are even more daft than I'm starting to realize.
PVE'ers love their events and boxes n such and to place them in such a way to have the pve'er role play a zebra crossing the Nile river during the great African migration is beyond nutso.

Just say no to this crap by choosing to stay out of pvpland rather than communicate this as successful design by engaging it.

PvPers aren’t some kind of bad arse predators defending their home turf or hunting fresh blood. They’re normal people sitting in front of a computer or a TV. They need to stop acting like some kind of high and mighty kind of king of the jungle that bullies smaller animals. Your a person playing a game, no different to the PvEers.

PvEers also need to stop taking it personally when they’re killed in Cyrodill. There will always be people who are scared of real PvP and camp quest areas to get cheap kills. It’s a game, who cares? If it keeps happening, go to a different town or campaign. Really wish they’d take the quests out of Cyrodill so this crap doesn’t keep coming up.

Will everyone get a god damn grip.

Your lovely faction spent the night in Sheo, camped INSIDE (and lurking outside!) of the buildings where you turn your dailies in in Bruma and Vlas. No one could turn a quest in. That is just next-level horrible...

You know is a PvP event?
But don't worry most of the pvp players will stay out of towns (except for gankers and few zergballers) because we don't like to fight pve raids.

Yesterday more than once i got treated like a raid boss, with the tank in my face a couple of dd's spamming snipe and debuffs and the healers constantly keeping everyone at 100% with all the possible pve buffs active...

    Is just not fun.

I played on few campaigns and chars yesterday. It's was a total chaos! And I loved it. Some ppl attacked me when I tried to quest, some don't, had few nice fights, had few sad deaths becouse someone stronger than me stomped me to the ground.
I was raised in Lineage 2 climate, where u could pvp all over the whole map (except cities) and if I see some whining about "I just want questing, pls don't kill" I have only one thought:

P.S. I'm not strictly PvP player, I play goddammit MMORPG and I know it have a few aspects!

I personally leave questers alone unless they attack me first. But if you're going to come into a competitive campaign, flip strategic map locations so you can do PVE dailies in peace and get slaughtered by the local PVPers for it, I have absolutely no sympathy for you. Vivec is not a PVE-er friendly campaign; this is not a secret, and if you DON'T know it going in because you don't usually PVP, one look at zone chat will clearly tell you that you're not welcome (because you're taking up a spot that someone who wants to PVP could take instead).

How about going to another campaign? How about doing the Conquest board quests and help your alliance while getting jubilee boxes (and Gladiator proofs)? How about limiting yourself to the Fighters Guild bounty (just do it on multiple characters)? How about going down to IC, where it's always open season on PVEers anyway, and doing the dailies there? You have options.

Why would you expect other people to change their normal everyday playstyle just because you decided to show up for a little bit?

Cyrodiil is entirely and equally for everyone 365 days a year, nothing changes even some players care only for one week, there's always players who will attack the easiest targets, after this event these targets can just be somewhere else than towns. It's starting to feel that some pve players soon want all Grand Overlord and emperor titles just by visiting Cyrodiil fast. "I want those cool 5 stars and the fancy title to show with my character name, they are just purely cosmetic and shouldn't have anything to do with any pvp content!", how moronic would that sound?

    1. I (and probably none of my guildies) have NEVER been to Vivec - we know it's a serious PvP going on there, and we respect that;
    2. How about that: we went to Malacath, a campaign opened only for this event - and what did the PvP badases do? Whine about the Emperor and force ZOS to close the server for everybody. For three hours. On a free day (for some folks).
    3. So your "everyday play style" includes camping Cheydinghal and harassing noobs. How interesting. Wait, no - it's actually pathetic.

Exactly, this is always an option, chicken was probably too scared to fight until buddies showed up. This is why it's wise to have a rule while in Cyrodiil: every time and always attack other color players no matter the numbers or player levels in situation, and also expect to get attacked by everyone always. This guideline saves from guessing and butthurt.

This is the straight! Gospel! Learn it and live it.

Skip Cyro! The event sucks. That MOUNT is crap, evolved or not. THARN and all those other companion motifs are trash.

I just PvPed like I always pvped. I turned in the couple of quests I always do, the gladiator one and the kill 20 whoever ones. If I had a reason to go to crops or Bruma I went there.

I killed a few kill crazy squishes who tried to Zerg me down. They got spread out and suddenly that 20v1 turned into a 1v1 in melee range with my MagDk! Lights out! It got boring...events suck!

I hate PvP. Absolutely loathe it. It makes me anxious as hell and I'm not competitive in the slightest. I'm also horrible at it and have no desire to put myself through hell to get better. I play for fun and PvP is not that for me.

Having said that, can we not demonize people who enjoy that style of play just because it's not our cup of tea? Can we, as PvE'ers collectively decide not to try and strip them of the few events they have that cater to them? Not everything in an MMO is going to be for you, and frankly that's not only okay, it should be expected.

Yes, I personally find ganking someone before and/or during the process of getting a skyshard or turning in a quest an absolute *** move. I wouldn't do it personally - but I also understand that PvP is gonna happen in a PvP zone and that ganking is absolutely a valid playstyle. Asking people to stop playing the way they enjoy to for your sake is a little selfish.

Nah, the difference between me and you is I don't enjoy outnumbering people 10 to 1 because 1) it's boring and stupid and 2) it's the coward's way to win.

Also: you need to learn the difference in "crying" and then making fun of people who have to outnumber people to win fights or who prey on the weak. I'm never going to "adapt" to that crap. Ever. It's way too lame for me sorry.

I know you guys enjoy PvP a lot however during the event my dear AD would you mind staying out of dailys zone in Cheydinhal and let players enjoy the event?
I know i know its PvP zone you should get your a$$ wiped, L2P QQ ... whatever. But what kind of *** u have to be to just go for easy kill vs PvE players?!

Really I never had such issues years back during events and now it seems some stupid kiddos joined ESO community and are wrecking event for most of players.

Yeah, it's just so much "fun" to instantly gank some poor guy trying to do his quest with 10 other people. Such a blast let me tell you...

I wonder if you would think it's so much fun if it happened to you? If you ever want to find out, let me know. I can arrange to have a small army slaughter you while you are alone so you can experience some of that fun you are talking about.

It is. And I have. Multiple times. Only difference between me and you is that I suck it up and adapt and go into Cyrodiil knowing that is what I need to expect. Instead of coming to the forums crying to Zos about the big bad pvpers playing by the rules Zos implemented.

Nah, the difference between me and you is I don't enjoy outnumbering people 10 to 1 because 1) it's boring and stupid and 2) it's the coward's way to win.

Also: you need to learn the difference in "crying" and making fun of people who have to outnumber people to win fights.

What was that saying from elementary school? Oh yeah. Sticks and stones.....you know the rest. It's fun to me and I'll be that coward. Feel better now that you think you hurt my feelings? Lol.

When did I say I thought I hurt your feelings?

You may want to try reading what I type a few times before you respond or something, because I never even remotely said that.

What I said is having to outnumber people 10 to 1 is the coward's way to win. And I'll stand by that. And it's certainly not fun.
