I know you guys enjoy PvP a lot however during the event my dear AD would you mind staying out of dailys zone in Cheydinhal and let players enjoy the event?
I know i know its PvP zone you should get your a$$ wiped, L2P QQ ... whatever. But what kind of *** u have to be to just go for easy kill vs PvE players?!

Really I never had such issues years back during events and now it seems some stupid kiddos joined ESO community and are wrecking event for most of players.
Dear ZOS this week 3 event is just lame and I cannot say I enjoy it.

It'll be interesting to see what it is like this year. I recall the level of jerk being fairly minimal last year, but back then you could run any daily at any time to earn boxes. The groups doing box runs in Cyrodiil were just respectful of one another regardless of alliances and it was typically only a lone $%#^ or two that caused issues. Usually those people were then attacked ruthlessly by everyone just wanting to run their boxes. Yes - you would see that idiot red getting smeared into paste by both blues and yellows just trying to do their boxes.

Not to mention it is kind of harassment now cause I cant even get revived properly nor give or take quest meaning they prevent me from participating in the event.

That's the sort of behavior I never saw last year, personally. Folks left each other alone and worked together regardless of who owned the towns. It was at most one or two gankers trying to be annoying, and when they did it, people would band together to smash them into paste regardless of alliance. I don't know if it's going to be different this year.

I had already planned to take this week off, since unlike Midyear Mayhem, there aren't additional campaigns and the rewards are strictly from the dailies. At least during Midyear Mayhem, actual PvP was encouraged with double AP and getting reward boxes from Rewards for the Worthy.

But, all PvPers know that PvErs are only going to do the town dailies. And, they don't care that any AP they earn camping towns isn't hard-earned. But, whatever. I knew there would be griefing, so I had already decided to steer clear of it.

No reason to worry about it, as during Week 5, all dailies will count for all pages, so you can earn them during that week. Plus, prices will go down by then, even though PvPers will price the Tharn pages at astronomical prices to start. I suppose that's another reason for them to gank PvPers - they think that they'll have no recourse but to buy pages from them. Which, of course, isn't true, since we can all earn them much easier during the final week (though the loot table will be a bit crowded). Besides, their pages won't be nearly as rare as Sahan's will be next week.

Most of zos' events and released content is catered towards PVE'ers. Let the PvPer's play the way they want when they're in Cyrodiil. It's supposed to be a Player vs Player zone, what do you expect? ZOS put the event drops in this game mode for a reason. Usually pvpers let people go anyway if you're jumping up and down & blocking instead of attacking. If anybody so much as light attacks then that's the start of a fight. And I'm not sorry for stuff like soul assaulting a 14k health low level player when they attack me first in Cyrodiil as I'm minding my own business. They die, they respawn, they do horse simulator to the towns again.

Just gear up a tank [edit], loads of people PvP with no actual intention of killing players. I'm not actually making that up.

2 x max health sets in impen will cost you about 5-8k gold. Run about 60k health and lingering pots and people won't bother.

I think they meant, that all annual events are exclusively PVE. While PvP gets one event, and from what history shows, the shortest event out of all of them as well...

So kinda moot to say pvpers can pvp 365 day when they get one exclusive event that lasts not nearly as long as the rest of the pve events.

Kinda moot for anyone to see that these events are exclusively aimed at one particular play style and not just everyone.

I agree, which is why I generally stay away from PvP events. I did participate in the Midyear Mayhem Encore to get event tickets, and I logged in with characters in one of the additional campaigns whose alliance had the majority of control - or at least controlled one town so that I could do a daily for my tickets.

I didn't realize, though, that jumping up and down while blocking was an indicator that you didn't want to fight. There were a couple of times where I ran over to some players from another alliance so they would kill me, and I jumped up and down trying to get their attention. They finally attacked me, since I wasn't blocking, but now I know why it took a few seconds for them to actually attack me.

I think some PvErs might assume that their only recourse when encountering another player is to attack, since they assume that the enemy player will engage them regardless. I'm sure some still will, but most of the enemy players I encountered during the MM Encore left me alone. Although it's probable that most of them were PvEers like me who just wanted to do the town dailies.

Wait for the additional campaigns to open this afternoon and try one of them. Although there will probably still be some gankers who have nothing better to do with their time than sit their and grief players, there may not be that many, and even they need to take time to do dailies to grind boxes.

Also, try a different town. Or better yet, just wait until week 5.

Lol it's not just pve players that are annoyed by these players preventing people from doing the quests in cheydinhal. Of course I expect to do pvp in a pvp zone but camping there with 20 people hunting down one player.. That's not pvp that's just poor.. But well we can't do anything about it.. At least I got a few boxes :)

Your mileage may vary. I haven't started the town quests this year yet (probably won't due to burnout), but last year on the noncompetitive campaigns (shor and sotha sil) most players didn't attack each other and if you accidentally attacked someone just holding block usually resolves the situation.

Of course, I still took precautions: invisibility pots, stealth, and changing campaigns when needed. I was even able to get the achievement associated with completing all the town quests. Of course, there were times where I had to fight. A PvP zone is what it is.

    Favorite Foods and Potions

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

Find someone strong to hide behind. Plenty of people will be doing the event for boxes. Also, most PvPers are not idiots...at least if you don't do anything to trigger them.

This is ridiculous. I have no intention of participating in the dungeon part of the event, because I find PVE extremely dull. You won’t find me complaining about being forced into PVE, though, as this is a FIVE WEEK event with multiple ways/opportunities to earn boxes.

Don’t want to die in a PVP zone? Then don’t visit any PVP zones, and certainly don’t rage at PVPers for killing other players.

I've played pvp for quite long and I also like events so I totally understand your issues, but as you mentioned yourself it's a pvp zone and has the same rules before, during and after the event. For many pvp players causing butthurt for others means satisfaction, many players also avoid tough experienced players and search for easier targets, which can easily be found in towns during this event. By telling AD to stay out of Cheydinhal during the event, you simply advertise the town for enemies as being the right place for easy kills and ap, therefore you probably draw even more AD players there making your event even more difficult. I usually don't attack players in towns if they are clearly doing quests, which most players are nowadays, however some players won't attack alone, but they might still have buddies nearby and attack when they have more numbers, this is all fair in Cyrodiil. My advice is the boring "l2p", which you don't have time for this year's event anymore. Get players in group and do the quests as group, there's power in numbers, one option is to do quests on times when most players are off. Those are the options or stay away from towns, telling enemies what they shouldn't do won't work, I can guarantee that.

Build tanky, ie full heavy and impen.
Be aware of surroundings, and use invis potions when needed.
Don't ride in the open, use the terrain to camouflage you. Report gankers in chat - help will likely come.
When you die, yes when, brush it off and keep going, you only lose when you quit.
Lastly, don't send hate whispers, we love that.
    GL in Cyrodiil :)

There are pvp'ers who enjoy challenging fights against players of equal skill and then there are immature griefers who enjoy "farming nubs xD lol".
I agree with OP, there appear to be more of the latter type now than during previous events.
