Worm Cult drops

✭✭Got 1 worm cult (Helmets) from about 50 boxes so far.
Big loot pool to draw items from, and feels like the Prophet drops are weighted to drop more often than other pages.
So those trying to get Worm motifs by just rng luck.. i`d suggest buying them up during the event, many who got them finished last year are most likely selling for affordable prices.0 -

Yeah, that's true. However, for those of us who are executing large numbers of writs (I'm clearing 154 a day, for example), it will drop sharply, for that exact reason. The time commitment will go up, and stay there.
Also, moving into the dungeon week, that will be, functionally, hard capped at 3 boxes per character, but the time to collect those boxes will be closer to 30 minutes a box. Meaning that doing those on all characters (without anything going wrong) would potentially get into the range of 33 hours per day to keep up. Which... isn't ideal. (I do realize that 30m per box is a bit high, and it should be possible to knock those out in slightly under an hour, but that still means dedicating most of a day to the activity.
Yeah, the dungeon week is going to be rough. I'll only be doing the dungeons to get the new style pages. Once I get them all I won't worry about running them. And I only plan on doing the easy pledges that I can solo. Should make it go a bit quicker without needing to wait for a PUG queue.0 -

Yeah, I hear you there. There will certainly be a drop-off in total boxes collected. I'm doing 195 a day right now with crafting (15x7 + 15x6, no JC on alt account). Hopefully the drop rate on the styles from these next 2 weeks will be sufficient to get them all. Or, hopefully the dailies in week 5 drop all of them, rather than their specific type. Like these boxes say they are an "Anniversary Box (crafting)" when we get them. Hopefully week 5 boxes are "Anniversary Box (all)" and can drop any style piece, rather than the crafting dailies giving us an "Anniversary Box (crafting)" that will only drop Prophet styles again, meaning we'd have to continue to do WB/Delve/Dungeon dailies to finish our Lyris and Sai Sahan style pages, even in week 5.
Boxes in week 5 will be Anniversary Box (Tamriel) or some such name. I tested on PTS and during week 5, ANY daily (even those not included in the first 4 weeks) will drop this box which has a chance of dropping any companion page. I got Sai Sahan's chest page on PTS, but I doubt I'll be as lucky on live. I also popped a motif book - have NEVER gotten a motif book on live (except for those motifs that only come as a full book).0 -

Last year, I opened a grand total of 3401 boxes across both NA and EU and received 49 chapters--about 1.4%.
This year, I've so far opened 1388 boxes and received 3 chapters--about 0.2%.

✭✭Last year I pulled 49 Worm Cult pages from 2000 Gift Boxes. So far this year, I've pulled 3 pages from 518 Gift Boxes. The problem is that they added the Prophet's Style Pages, and they are dropping more frequently than all other pages. At this point, I've pulled 48 Prophet's pages. No bueno. That's essentially 48 wasted drops, since those pages are flooding the market everywhere. Definitely not very well thought out, and sucks for anyone who was trying to get Worm Cult.0 -

✭✭This year's drop rate on Worm Cult motif chapters does feel lower than last year, thought the drop rate then was pretty poor as well. Kinda glad i put the gold into getting the last ones i needed last year so i can focus on getting the outfit styles and whatnot.0 -
