Forum Bug: Forum reactions trigger error message [UPDATE: Fixed April 4th]

[UPDATE: APRIL 4th - This issue has finally been resolved]

Hi, I've been experiencing a forum-side bug for about a week now where any time I try to click a post reaction (Insightful/Agree/Awesome) I'm sent to an error page with the following message: "Permission Problem: You need to enable javascript to do that."

Screenshot:

Here's the real problem. JavaScript is most certainly enabled for my browser. This is very easy to verify by checking browser settings or other test webpages such as What's my browser: Is JavaScript Enabled?

The forum's problem not registering JavaScript are also causing the following related issues, which all started at the same time:
  • Users with this issue also cannot edit posts after they've been posted. The Gear icon isn't even visible.
  • The globe icon to the immediate right of your name for "Notifications" now instead takes you to your User Name page.

Please be aware of the following indicators that the issue is forum-side and not user-side:
  • I've had no recent system or browser updates. Nothing has changed on my end.
  • The issue is affecting multiple systems and browsers. For instance, I'm on Win10 and use IE. Others reporting the issue have specifically mentioned instead using Edge, Firefox, or Chrome and are now having the same issue which did not affect them prior to approx. March 20th.

Searching the forums, I've compiled a list of posts from other users having the same issue:
Thanks!

No new crafting or game systems for 2019? "Season of the Dragon" would be better named "The Year of no New Major Features"

According to the link you supplied, I get...
"Hooray! JavaScript is enabled in your web browser" :)

    I am using Firefox 47.0.2
Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit Operating System.

The gear button is there on my posts. When I hover over it I get a tool tip that says 'Options'. When I click it nothing happens.

    Thanks, hope it's sorted soon.

Thanks for your post! I'm getting the same verification that JavaScript is enabled in my web browser as well. To bad their forum still thinks otherwise. Hopefully ZOS will catch on to the issue soon and find a solution on their end.

The problem here is that I have noticed some posts, posted yesterday, 30th March, 2019, that have had 'Agree' and 'Awesome' clicked.

It would be interesting to know what device those who clicked were using.
I still get permission denied. :( I'll never get off two stars. lol

Everything on the forum is working for me. I can click 'agree' or 'awesome' and it works. I can also edit my posts. I am on Windows 10 and Chrome.

Yes, but why? Browser, ISP, cookies, Java, ZOS?

When I go to the 'Home Page' of "www.whatismybrowser.com" it tells me that Java is enabled in Firefox, but Java is not installed in the browser. But then it wasn't installed a few weeks ago when everything worked fine.

Just tried Internet Explorer 11, same problem. Java enabled but not installed.

@Hippie4927 Do you have Java installed?
    Thanks

Looks like they fixed the problem as of today as I can finally click the reaction buttons without error again.

And it was certainly a forum-side bug, as I've still had no recent browser updates, neither before the bug started nor when the bug resolved. I'm just glad they finally fixed it.

Edit: Yes, I'm even able to edit my posts once again, so it's certainly resolved now. I suggest everyone who was having this issue to check again as it's hopefully resolved for you as well.

It's working for me too, but I'm not on the same computer that it didn't work on.
Currently using Firefox 48.0.2 with Java enabled and installed, on a Windows XP Professional SP3, computer. (Yes, XP ;))
Wont be on the Windows 7 PC 'till Monday.

If they really have fixed it, don't you think it would have been decent of them to leave a comment of some kind to confirm?

    Thanks

[EDIT] Back on the Windows 7 PC with no Java installed. I can confirm the problem has been resolved. :)
