Not sure where to post this. There is a bug on the Forums page. On the icon right after your name ( the one that give you Notifications ) takes you to the User Name page.

It's a problem with Javascript in some browsers which stops the notifications drop-down from working and also stops you from using the reaction buttons on posts. It was happening last week on another forum I visit which also uses Vanilla software. Strangely that one got fixed right around the time this forum started getting the problem.

People on other forums I've seen have reported the same problem using Internet Explorer, Edge, some versions of Firefox and one person said Chrome had problems for them as well.

So a temporary fix would be to try a different internet browser, but hopefully Vanilla or ZOS will sort out the underlying problem sooner or later.

Started happening to me too, it was alright a few weeks ago. I'm using Firefox 47.0.2

I tried clicking on 'Awesome' but I'm greeted with "Permission Problem, You need to enable javascript to do that."

Firefox doesn't support Javascript, and hasn't since 2017.

It also started happening to me here few days ago, for no reason (as I use same browser and didn't update it/didn't add or update any extensions) I can't give reactions to posts, and even worse - I also can't subscribe to threads

I use Internet Explorer on a Win10 PC and am having the same issues of not being able to click the Insightful/Agree/Awesome reaction buttons and can't edit my posts.


From this thread and a few others describing the same issue, it appears to have started around March 20th, which confirms what I remember of it having been about a week that I've had this issue.

Because this issue is affecting multiple browsers, the problem appears to be on the forum's side of things.

On your post click on the number thing in upper right of your post. When it loads the edit button comes back.
