Thanks a lot for this guide!
On a third vet pug attempt I finally got into normal group and got the Meridia skin. I was using this guide as a cheat sheet while tanking and it was extremely helpful.

I find this healing debuff to be annoying but never found it to be a significant threat. I do theorize that Troll King would be beneficial for this debuff if it is a threat to a group. Similar to Troll King being sometimes used against Baneful Mark in Cloudrest. That is still untested though.

Defiled affect health regeneration as well. By itself, Decrepify is not a threat. But Decrepify with other mechanics in HM is pretty deadly if you are trying to go for Depths Defier.

Super easy ofc, but you do get a bit of a look at the new dungeon.

I like it alot and I'd like to git gud at the vet version - this guide will help alot

We did this with 3 stam dds and tank. Was pretty easy as the group damage was so high and we didnt find anything that could not be healed with vigor.

Went in last night solo on normal while waiting for my queue to pop. And the first few bosses are incredibly easy on normal. The Maw doesn't deal nearly enough damage to kill you before the attack ends. Just having boundless and crit surge up were enough to heal through it on Normal. But the Orb fight is ridiculous. 1 Auroran spawn is ok, 2 is fine, but once 3 spawn you just get blown up with no chance of fighting back. So, not sure if this is soloable on Normal yet, but at least half of it is.

Used this guide last night and got HM done easy enough. I'll attempt frostvault tonight (I've heard its more challenging) since I wont be in a load screen for 35 minutes

Is it literally necessary to use a ground-based HoT on the NPC, which is to say Healing Springs? Or would Combat Prayer suffice? (And if so, is she close enough that casting Combat Prayer makes sense?

We tried HM with 3 Magdd and tank last night , dropped to 32 percent and we failed .

Depends on what you mean by "we failed". How did you fail? What did you die to?

Golden wall limited our moving space , the problem was the 3 sec healing debuff , 3dd spread out to avoid to meteor one shot , lighting balls or orb effect or meteor could kill us easily because of the low amount healing , and rev pick up wasn't easy , just like FL HM...

Hold the boss near the edge of the room. Cliffside edge works and is close to the boss spawn location, but it's easy to roll off accidentally. The rock wall near the entry point is another option. The point is that there are fewer walls to contend on the sides, whereas there will be more walls criss-crossing the center.

Recovery in this fight is very difficult, so don't die. I.e., you need to prioritize damage avoidance. One of my mistakes early on was that I tried to stay on target and maximize DPS and that just resulted in me getting boxed in by walls with too little space to reliably avoid meteors or lightning. Yes, the second phase is a DPS race because Purification ramps up. But it's a pretty generous and easy DPS race, as long as people don't die. So if you need to disengage and run to the other side of the room to get away from a high concentration of walls, do it.

The Decrepify (which is a 5s heal debuff, not 3s, and does a total of 50% of your max health in unshieldable Oblivion damage) means that you need to be pretty good about damage avoidance, because if you get a damage spike right before or during, it's game over. Make sure you are topped off on health before Decrepify sets in. As a mag DD, keep your shield up during Decrepify--the shield won't protect you from Decrepify's damage, but is there to protect you from other damage during Decrepify. And avoid the meteor, lightning, and ice ground AoEs. The initial hit from the meteor is dodgeable, but be careful that your dodge doesn't take you through the AoEs that radiate out afterwards.

Malatar HM is really just about situational awareness. There's no trick to it--if everyone can reliably sidestep all the fireworks, you'll have it beat.

some dude said (forum member with more than 5 stars) he soloed both DoM and FV on normal.

So if your character can heal himself, have like 22-25k health (pet sorc FTW), can do damage as well, and you want that damn story mode, to read/listen all dialogs, understand what the hell is going on in those dungeons - this is your time.

I must say lol however, cuz it isn't what we want from story mode, but at least something...

The damage dealers of the group MUST coordinate on which clone to focus down. Do not split your DPS among the clones, and only cleave down those around the one that is being focused down. If you get one clone lower on health than the others, then when the focused clone teleports away, all the clones will have their healths drop to that new percentage.

Wish I had known that yesterday already. The PuG I was in cleared the dungeon, but the Narilmor fight was particularly drawn out and painful. Nice write up, thanks.

yes it is absolutely necessary imho because at unexpected (and unfortunate) timing you will need to spam emergency healing on group members which means the npc "Tharraya" will die unless you proactively put springs there.

Dungeons favoring magicka so heavily over stamina (or just range over melee) really has to stop. give us a reason to bring either kind of character.

yes it is absolutely necessary imho because at unexpected (and unfortunate) timing you will need to spam emergency healing on group members which means the npc "Tharraya" will die unless you proactively put springs there.

Or orbs. We didn't have a full healer--just a DD/healer hybrid--and he didn't have a resto staff. We had no difficulty keeping her alive with orbs. In any case, I do agree that it's better to keep a HoT on her, whether it be springs or orbs, than to use burst heals like CP.

I have a question.

About the laser boss, when the boss turn into ice, is it possible to know the initial direction of laser b4 the it moves?

As a stam dps, I need to focus on adds ASAP, the adds could 1 shot us easily if the tank could not taunt them quickly, i can pass this boss without problem with my mag sorc, shield saves my life, but stam dps is another story especially in PUG group.

Wrong dungeon thread.

No, there's no way to know. And it's impractical to kill the sphere immediately, since they spawn at the start of the laser sweep phase. The best I can do is drop my DoTs on it before running off to avoid the laser, but even that is sometimes impractical.

As stam, you need to keep Major Evasion up at all times.

This (Purifying Light can do the trick too but it's shorter). I have healed this fight several times and I can definitely can tell the difference between people who are opened to this method and the stubborn ones who just want to deal with all the enemies. I can guarantee that this the most effective way and it turns the fight into a walk in the park.

I have seen groups with average dps ending this faster than great dps. The only enemy that matters is the boss, when the clones shuffles position they take the lowest HP around which, if you are focusing down the real boss, is going to be his HP. Once the boss is dead, it doesn't matter if clones are still up, it's the end of the fight.

Especially if that's your healer applying Elemental Drain (and who won't follow the boss 100% of the time because of the NPC to babysit), help whoever is revealing the real boss by focusing him down, makes it easier to find it again and reapply whatever makes him stand.

It's always funny to see groups of seasoned people, with good DPS, good situational awareness and all but who refuse to do any other way than LOSing struggle even more than first timers opened to this most effective method.
