even if you understood the process, the most tickets you could have going into event is 12. that covers the last berry - which you HAVE to buy during this even, becasue its going away afterwards. even if you have all the other berries and enough feathers to make another nachent indrik? you are still going in with 2 tickets left over after the berry - tops.

now. there is also a pet, which also seems to be jesters holiday only. that's another 10 tickets. lets do some math! the absolute maximum tickets you can get during this event is 26. how did I come up with this number? given the dates from March 21 to April 2 and that you CAN do more quests early just after the reset? that gives us 13 quest resets.

assuming best case scenario that we already bought the berry, that gives us 28 tickets to work with. if you want minipet - that leaves us with 18 tickets. that.. will buy you 3 style pages. that's it. you have 3 chances per day to get those style pages. that gives us 39 chances for all the motif pages. I happen to be (yes I'm nuts) doing this event on 3 accounts, and on my main, I'm doing this both EU and US side. out of 12 boxes I got on a first day - wanna guess how many of them contained motifs? if you say zero - you'd be correct. now, its just rng, you say, there are more days still left. yes. there are. but its STILL indicative of drop rates. and I'm NOT the only one with these types of abysmal drop rates.

and herein lays a problem. a collector? unless they are either very lucky, or very rich - has little to NO chance to collect all the style pages in a single event, and no, don't even dare starting with "you can collect them next year" anniversary specific motifs had higher drop rates, AND we got more boxes per day we could get to increase out chances. and even with severe ticket limits, there was still enough tickets to allow us to catch up on indriks at leas, and usually you'd get enough tickets per event, plus extras to get both the limited time berry AND a feather.

this is the FIRST TIME that our chances are stacked THAT badly against us... unless of course you cave in and buy tickets with crowns.

THAT.. is a problem. that mathematically a single player is unlikely to be able to farm up all the pages themselves? IS A PROBLEM.

I got an indrick (don't care about other colors as I will never use this one) and the Staff and Great Sword pages (that is all I use) So I'm good for now.

I will never buy stuff like this from the crown store.

Absolutely sure they will be much less then 100k. In the end, of course. Drop rates doesn't look lower than before, and 100k is rare even for chests. At least on PC. Can be worse for consoles because of no TTC.

You don't need to buy all pages with tickets!
Pages are there to get in the end one or two you missed, not to buy all of them. You exaggerate the problem. Each event somebody speaks about terribly low droprate, and each time it ends with lot of pages in guildstores for at least affordable prices. Not 100k each part. Especially for weapon.

those stupendous boxes or whatever they are called. several of them, out of 4 items, with one always being pies you throw, 2 other items were green treasures. the kind you would normally steal, but laundered.

12 boxes, zero pages so far, even during other events I have NOT had a single day where i wouldn't get even a single page of a holiday motif if I farmed them long enough, even with my terrible rng. even those holiday writs were easier, becasue you could just keep going from character to character to do new life quests and we got more of those quests per character per day.

you assume prices are going to be cheap. but this is a first even where we are limited to THREE. TRIES. PER. ACCOUNT. all the other events? you could keep farming those boxes, whether by grinding for drops, or doing quests on multiple characters, we were NOT limited to 3. tries. per day, per account. before. that changes things. quite a bit.

and these are not just weapons, these are very unique weapons.

something has to change. whether its drop rates or allowing us a chance to get those motifs out of regular boxes rather then special first of the day boxes only. and the limit of 12 tickets per account, meaning you couldn't even stock up in advance? is NOT helping

Did i said something about earning money from them? Of course most items cost nearly nothing. That's normal for all events.

You luck is not average luck for this event. I'm not saying you are the only one, but a lot of people got motif. Must be just a bad day for you. With more than one account - sure you'll get more than enough (or you really are cursed...).

the point was to show that my boxes contained DOUBLE of useless filler that's maybe one step above those one time use dazzlers, cause at least you can vendor treasures for.. something. and despite assurances that they fixed the droprates? 4 of the boxes contained banners. 2 of which came on the same character in 2 boxes in a row. sigh.

given my experience with rng in this game after years of playing it? I'm not getting anywhere near enough of those motifs to complete the collection, and chances are whatever I might get - is going to be duplicates of the most common and least desirable item so even trading for missing pages is going to suck

and all of that? because we have, BY DESIGN, so few chances to get those to drop within extremely limited time period, and catch up currency is even more limited.

there are 2 possibilities. ZoS didn't quite think it through in which case - changing how tickets work, or any number of other suggestions - would fix it. or... they did it deliberately to push people into buying tickets on crown store.

One day is not enough reason to panic. Each event in the beginning looks like "oh no, I won't get that styles/rewards/achievements!".

And if you are sure you'll have terrible luck during all event, just make some gold. That's why things are tradeabe, yes? So if you didn't get from event yourself, you can buy from other players.
You'll get some from event. Statistically unbelievable that you'll get nothing. Plus some from tickets - that are most expensive in gold (usually swords and staves are). And some from guildstores. That won't take too much. You don't need to buy all for tickets or all for gold, you can combine all three ways.

P.S. 3 pages from 6 quests. Second bows. MM shows 35k.

I used to look forward to the events. I've almost completely lost interest in them at this point.

People who come in and say things like “I got the two pages I wanted” how does that contribute to anything?

That's hella bunk, @Linaleah. I did it on 5 accounts, which got something like 3, 2, 2, and 2 style pages. I derped and forgot to open the boxes on my main account; I was a little delirious by the end of the night.

Maybe shake your computer like a Magic 8 Ball and try again later?

I've gotten 12 boxes (two accounts, two days) at this point, and received a single style page. I'm not too worried about buying the missing pages with gold, but yeah, that drop rate is pretty brutal.

That's not about "wanted". That's about drop rate.
It can be that somebody has abnormally good or bad luck. More people comment - more info about how it drops.
This event average droprate is quite good. That means - even if exact person will still be unlucky, there will be a lot of pages in guildstore with not very high prices. And that means there is no reason to keep style for a long time.

Keeping style or giving much more tickets is not very good idea. What will be reason to participate in events, if everything is nearly free and stay forever? And that the point of all this thing with tickets - to keep activity more or less on same level, not like two explosions a year.

Just no reason to panic about unobtainable things. As all other events - is may look a bit scary in the beginning, but most things will be easily achieved, if you do event activity most days. Not so is only, maybe, undaunted event with "crown" items.

I got two Axe pages out of 6 boxes, as well as the purple chest house item hahaha. That's it for now :P I don't really like the Cadwell stuff (even though I think its cute, just not for me) so I'm not super serious about it, but there's plenty more days to have a chance at getting them-- even then, people will probably want to swap extras they got after the event or even during, it's not impossible.

@Linaleah The most you can get from this event is 24, not 26. I wish it was 26, though, since I'm going to be 2 tickets short on EU.

@majulook Undaunted keys are not a currency yet.

Honestly at this stage the only thing wrong with event tickets is that they are, and have been, capped at 12. We have been forced to spend them on duplicate feathers instead of saving them for something cool.

Now we have events where there are more items available than obtainable tickets. It is clearly a crown sales tactic and it is slimey as heck.
