Complaints Should Be Heard

No one needs a refund for early access because thats just plain dumb to even ask for one. I would like ZoS to hear the complaints of EU players tho and in future sort out a decent maintence time that does not wipe out basically a whole day a week for most people.

Weekly maintence is likely, and it needs to be done seperate for each megaserver. Otherwise most working people in EU are looking at 4 days a month of not being able to play at all.

So perhaps cheaper subs for EU? Na I didnt think so, So sort out a decent time to do maintence on our Megaserver.

Its a simple solution to make 50% of your player base happy and not pissed off at being restricted on their playtime whilst our friends across the pond get to play in their prime time without the hassle of maintence.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. :expressionless:

THAT is a valid complaint, and while im not 100% agreeing with him, i still support it, as it wasnt "i demand this, or i demand that" kind of post.

Valid point or not, they are being rude by calling someone's complaint "dumb".

That would be the terds talking, and the people who have no self respect. I wouldn't take that kind of thing to heart. Otherwise, your in for a rocky road here on MMO land.

All sides can probably tone down the rhetoric though. There's no reason we need to create a community of negativity. :)

When is the NA server going to be up? Why did I waste 30 min looking for that information? Why are some people saying ''you didn't pay for early game time''? I paid early to play early, I don't care about the other crap that came with it. so stop telling me what I did for what reason. and if this post is on wrong thread to bad I cant make one.

It is not Zeni's or bethesdas fault people didn't read what they accepted. I posted in this one simply because it had nothing to do with customer support. It was simply a person making a speech to the community, and while i support that, this isn't the place for it.

Personally I am going for 30 days extra free game time. And I will get it too :). It is all about knowing how to deal with customer service. Burn up enough of their time and it is cost effective to just give em what they want rather than keep wasting precious resources dealing with the same thing/person for hours and hours and hours.

I *** $15 dollars, and could care less about the money. It is the principal to me. I ONLY pre ordered because of the 5 days. I did not make an imperial or any race any class and I think the mount blows chunks. My only incentive was the early access period. I do not care if your was or not, you do not matter to me. Only I matter to me.

I am bucking for 30 because I feel early access time cannot in any way be replaced without pushing out global launch, so this is my compromise and an easy sell for a $15 value vs countless hours of wasted support resource time. And yes out of principal I will absolutely do that.

I just wanted to take a second to LOL. You sound pathetic, dude and I honestly hope they don't give you jack. Go play another game.

Yep. I was agreeing with you. That's not going to solve anything and it's going to create a bitter divide.

I had no intention of being a bit nasty on the forums here, (which i dont think i was), but when someone calls me out for giving my opinion, that irks me. (wasnt you, was a different individual earlier.)

And clearly hes nowhere to be found now.

I wasn't referring to anyone in particular or calling anyone out. I've gotten rash a couple times myself in frustration, but I'm getting over it and deciding to be friendlier and calmer. :)

Why do you individuals who say people are "whining" get to decide the difference between "whining" and actually having a problem?

The same reason people who are whining get to decide they are actually having a problem. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, no matter how whiny they are.

my problem when people need to shut up is when people complain about something that THEY HAVE ALREADY ADDRESSED and just need to look for it (I can understand when something is not easily found though)... say the whole EU down time....they have an update so they will try to do them together...once they are able to move to their EU location it will not have to be that way...however this is not a perfect example as they have not actually said they will change the time they do maintenance but I am 99% sure that it will be fine when it is in Europe....( so i probibly wouldnt get mad if someone asked them to get a better time but someone be4 was mad that the servers were in NA regardless if it matters where the server is as servers being halfway around the world is not new and has not had issues in other games that do the same thing) should they make downtime better? YES, will they? MOST LIKELY....but for matters like this DEMANDING it be changed NOW is not the answer, when people say stuff like that i just demand they be patient..

besides people asking questions that have been answered in 10,000 posts be4 them and it would take a few seconds to just put ur title in the search field and not type your entire post and find your answer immediately instead of waiting for that person whos still stuck on post 7,466 and trying to reply to each and every one without using paste to get to yours...

I try and tell people with issues that are not too big of a problem to just be patient not to shut up or gtfo just calm down the game is new and they will get to you as soon as they can which might be a few days but relize that even thought your in the game and you cant seem to open that one chest (even tho you need a quest to open it) some people are currently not able to even play which iswhat they are trying to fix once they can do that they can get to you and help you....or instead of asking why ZOS is not reading what you have to say you can add details (where the chest is located to the best you can (cyrodiil on the EP section close to a hill and a few stone structures around it) and maybe even a player would be able to figure it out for you.

Complaints are fine but they need to be constructive.
There is a difference between a solid complaint to a company such offering a view or opinion on an issue or how to fix it. Even posting a well made thread about how customer service hasn't handled your ticket or the game is buggy is fine, however coming on the forums and just whining, screaming and crying like a toddler than had their toy taken away doesn't do anything to help anyone.

To people who say to stop complaining: You're not helping by saying that, and the people who want to have their issues addressed and discussed have that right. Just because you are satisfied with the level of service you are getting doesn't mean that someone else should just shut up and accept the same things you do. Everyone has the right to ask questions or ask for better service (weather in early access, free or not). If you have no issues with the company's service then fine, but don't be rude and dismissive to the people that do. It's a waste of everyone's time for people to get on this forum and tell people they have no right to ask for better service just because the game is new or the early access if "free" (which is a debatable topic all in it's own).

If you have no issues with the service: Why do you feel the need to keep defending the company you believe to be so flawless? Shouldn't you be out enjoying the time away from the game that you have no problem with? Oh wait, no, you need to take this time to make sure no one bad mouths the game or the service because it's just a baby and can't stand up for itself :expressionless:

Let people complain, the company needs to hear it and decide weather or not to address these issues.

Thank you for reading. I will not respond to trolling comments.

But what if your comment is trolling? /jk

There is a difference between complaints and concerns. Complaints are like the angry child in the store aisle screaming "FIX THIS!!!" where as a concern is more like child asking for help. Complaints are not constructive and do nothing to address a problem, which is why most people have an issue with people that do nothing but complain.

I've run into some serious flaws/bugs/exploits since early Beta and into launch now (hello Bank issue) and instead of taking to the forums or chat to whine and bemoan that they "FIX THIS!!!" I took the time to record everything that happened prior to, during, and after each issue. I've highlighted some of my concerns, suspicions on why the issues have happened, and happily replied to them with more info so that they can get to work fixing the problems.

So instead of screaming in the aisle, and dismissing those who disagree with your complaining as being "fanbois", why not take the time to constructive contribute to fixing the problem?

Personally, I think that if someone has a complaint, it's better they come here and risk annoying the people who can't... I dunno... ignore threads they don't like, I guess. It's better to vent here than to a CS rep. It's better to have people empathize with you and de-escalate you during the three days your gonna wait to talk to a real person who can actually understand and resolve your issue.

This is all there is, I mean there's other forums but I'm not that savvy on internet culture, I think others aren't too, so you go to the official forums. There's no general discussion, there's a customer support forum though, so you go and lodge your complaint and then 3 guys jump on your post telling you you're not allowed to have a complaint.

And I get it! I am also frustrated with how quickly this forum became useless. But a better response is to link them to a megathread, or try to resolve their problem. And I don't see as much of either as I'd prefer. :(

tl;dr venting on CS forum IS constructive because at least it keeps you from getting a hernia screaming at a CS rep. :)
What do you gain by criticizing a CSR complaint?
