Can you really no longer skip top boss in vet hrc after patch

Curious if I should still join hrc pugs over AA ones for plunder.

    accoirding to (i belive it was) ZOS_Finn no, you cannot skip HRC bossfights anymore after the patch.

    The doors that lead to the big add group with the 2 gargoyles should then only be possible to open, if BOTH bosses (left and right / downstairs and upstairs) are dead.

    Finally this...lets say bug (was more like a exploit in my eyes) will get fixed.
    the changes to the mechanics, like 1 group wipes, the other will aswell...dont like this very much tbh :/

    vHRC isn't hard though. Maybe you were just really unlucky with your groups? VHRC is the inly trial I ve done on vet and I would say 9/10 pugs were successful, some better than other though. Now, have you tried pugging nHOF ? People dont even bother to listen to mechanics when you explain them.... this trial is cursed or something

    altouh I expect some MIMIMI here on the forums from ppl who now have to do something to get to the endboss, because they relied on the skip exploit before this fix.

    Well its a welcomed change overall, even thou I dont agree with all changes to HRC, cause some look like another bandaid lazy fix to a bug, but if it works, why not ^^

    Did they fixed top boss's mech as well though. PS4 the meteors and pulses wouldn't stop. I was tanking up there and watched one guy receive 5 meteors and to pulses like it was hm vmol bombs.

    according to Finn they adressed the top fight.

    Clones will no longer take DMG; but are still interruptable, therefore you always know which Copy is the real boss, letting the tank deal with the fake clones.

    I'm so glad for this change it infuriates me when groups do this cause they think its to hard, however if you don't try or push yourself how will you grow and become better?

    once bottom and top split your'e locked in to top and bottom until either both bosses are dead or both groups wipe. Top flameshapers will be immune to damage so shock staff wont work. Doors on top and bottom will not unlock until both gate levers are pulled.

    So yeah you're gonna actually have to have people know basic game mechanics like interrupt and block for a veteran trial. Sounds awful I know.

    Finn presented that as more of a QoL change. The change was aimed at situations where one group wipes, but can't rez because the other group is still in combat. If one group finishes before the other, there's no problem. So if bottom group finishes and then top wipes, bottom is not going to wipe and they don't have to redo the bottom boss.

    The linked wipe thing is completely unrelated to the closing of the skipping exploit, which was addressed in the change to how the gate switches work.

    10 out of 10 Craglorn pug will wipe at the top boss and travel to player.

    Most wont finish nmol or nhof. Many struggle hard with ncr +0

    Pugging Vet Trials has always been painful, but this will likely put an end to it.

    @Krayl I haven’t had a chance to try HRC on PTS, what happens if say lower boss is dead, upper is still alive, and all 12 people travel to the entrance of the trial? Surely 6 people can go through the upstairs gate. Does it remember which 6 were up there before?

    What? I farmed a bunch of vHRC 2 days ago and each time we skipped the fire dude

    To open the gates you just need someone to travel to another player that is in the lower zone. He's going to be teleported to the trial entrance (There's going to be a portal to Ra'Kotu) and the gates will open.

    Is that not supposed to happen?

    IIRC, once 6 people pass through the entrance to either downstairs or upstairs, that entrance seals itself. However, it doesn't care who those 6 people are. Back in the day when there was just VR12 HRC without the vet/normal, there were groups that would do 6-person HRC. I'm quite fuzzy on the details of how that worked, but I think it was something like this:

    6 people go through bottom gate, which is required to open the door to the topside. They would then die and return to the entrance (they'll be in combat with the infinitely-spawning enemies in the foyer, so death>wayshrine was needed) and then take the door to the topside. They'll hit the switches required to open the bottom path, kill the boss topside, port back to beginning, and then clear the bottom.

    (I could be remembering the details wrong.) In any case, it doesn't look like any of the PTS changes would affect that sort of thing, though I haven't tested it, of course. But I imagine it's still possible to shuffle people around so that if topside struggles, you may be able to get some good bottom group players to replace them.

    Since the skip is gone, the top group will wait for the bottom group to kill their boss so that they can fight the top boss without screwing over the bottom team if they wipe in the middle of them fighting.

    No its not and come Monday, it will not be exploitable any longer.

    didnt expect them to do anything in old trials ever again, since most of the time they broke them more than they fixed them xD
