I feel like there is a new one of these posts every 15 minutes or so. Can't you all use the same thread?
Also, you made the choice to purchase a physical copy through Amazon. The merchant you purchase from is responsible for these delays. Chances are they oversold the product which is why they are going out slow.
A guy her in Northridge used to sell pre-orders gaming stuff, and he would sell and sell and sell and then when the product came he'd order 500 units and the distributor would be like, sorry dude, we can only send 25 today and 25 day after tomorrow, and will likely have most of the stock in by next week, and the rest by the week after.
Distribution channels suck, especially on large releases. That is why I buy digital from the manufacturer when I can. You don't get the pretty toys, but you do get the product on time.
We were doing this. But Zenimax deleted a couple large threads regarding this issue. It's hard to post in an ongoing thread that no longer exists.I feel like there is a new one of these posts every 15 minutes or so. Can't you all use the same thread?
I'm in the group of people who preordered the collector's edition on January 31st and still have not received a copy. Zenimax tells me to contact Amazon. Amazon tells me that Zenimax got them their inventory late. They both blame the other. Which company is dropping the ball? All I can do is look at the responses from their support teams:Also, you made the choice to purchase a physical copy through Amazon. The merchant you purchase from is responsible for these delays. Those of us who watch the customer support section see that a lot.
At this point a search for threads about "preorder" problems in this forum is huge and varied because everyone comes in here assuming that they are either the only ones or are in some way special and will get priority treatment of they open a new thread.
There is even a thread called "Amazon delivery solution" that probably contains useful information. However, it is apparent that Amazon has been giving people heartburn for several days now.
You will get your game in a couple of days. Long wait, I know, but you have a couple of options.
You can cancel or return the Amazon one and buy the current digital version, which could get you in the door before the end of the day. You might need to create a new ESO account to do that if your current one thinks you are already an owner.
You can simply wait for Amazon to get you your box. This will get you what you ordered, but you will have to have patience because Amazon is your problem, not Zenimax.
Remember, any indecision becomes decision with time.

And for the n'th time: if you can play the game, WTF are you doing here harassing those who can't??
It's pretty stupid if you think about it. You can't access the game without they releasing the server, you can't do nothing. So why wasn't the pre-orders shipped like 10 days ago, people would get it, have enough time to put their codes, install the game, patch the game, etc. That was a very amateur operation and one did not need past experience to realize that, just common sense.
Now the people that PRE-ordered, PREVIOUSLY ORDERED before anyone else, and paid the MOST EXPENSIVE price of all editions to get the COLLECTOR'S EDITION, are being put through this ordeal. I'm sorry but in my business all customers must be treated equal but of course I'll smile more to the person that spends the most. Ridiculous, and I'm a fanboy.
Grieves me to see people in this situation, I want the game to be a sucess and this will hurt the reputation...for the ones looking to refund all I can say is the game is worth it.
I think it's funny that the poster chose the dealer, chose the delivery service (and probably chose the slowest because he was cheap), and Zenimax is to blame.
I'm sure in 24 hours they'll be saying "We were one account short of the total we need to stay in business. If only we had saved that one customer."

OMG its your fault if you order through amazon, they are always late ! Just cancel your order, someone else will be happy to take yours, because the game is amazing !
