Let me start off saying I love PvP in ESO. The combat is fun and fast paced and exciting.
This situation, however, is anything but fun.
I don't understand why players do this, what they get out of it, or why this is even allowed....but this is something that definitely ruins fun.https://youtu.be/Vggzw7K5FiI

Can't say I have any sympathy when this happens to someone playing a gank or snipe playstyle, I believe karma is the word.
I wouldn't do it to someone out in the open, but if you stealth out in a keep defense I will gladly do my best to bring a swarm of enemies to your hiding spot.

wait a minute - don't you want your allies killing enemies?!?
for years i factioned hopped...the last few months though i've been blue only and have developed a very healthy hatred for all players not rocking a blue banner...other than wanting in on the AP - i don't think i would care what playstyle (other than cheating/exploiting) an ally would use to dispose of our enemies...

PvP is no environment for care bears or bow tards with some fantasy of not dying. Which one are you?
I don't care about dying, I care about not having someone on my own alliance pointing out my location. The complaint isn't about dying, it's about spying.
Not too bright, are you?

It is a toxic no risk high reward playstyle and people dont like it. I really dont understand why zos doesnt change the skill tbf. It has way too much damage, the defile on it is ridiculous and the desync is terrible. Just look at this topic... people are just very unhappy about the skill.
there is absolutely risk, most are glass cannons and are not that hard to find. the desync needs to be fixed, but the rest is a l2p issue.
We have a dueling system that allows you to duel in a private duel that no one else can ruin. Cyro is not for dueling. If you are fighting in Cyro you are free game. There are not dueling rules there. "maybe they were dueling" is a bad excuse.
It is interesting that people will make up rules and then use those made up rules to apply to a place that is a AvAvA location.
What happened in this video is cheating. Clear cheating. If you want to play on red to fight yellow than do so.
If you are going to duel in Cyro then you are going to get interrupted. I will always help a fellow yellow turn the tide of combat in Cyro no matter how small the battle.
All blues and reds must be defeated so badly they log off the game.

How does one tell if you're dueling?
Unless you're in the middle of nowhere fighting a single enemy, and even then you might have crossed him while doing a scouting mission
Snipe isn’t the point here dudeWillhelmBlack wrote: »WillhelmBlack wrote: »WillhelmBlack wrote: »I do love laughing at someone else's expense.

Spying? No. You were gimping/sniping people who were probably trying to do some real PvP, you were leeching easy kills so you got what you deserved, pal. Then you came to cry here about it as per Nightblade code dictates.

And this is why we need stealth to work not only for enemies, but also for allies. The only people who should see a stealthed/invisible person are group members.
People don’t like gankers? Idk sometimes I warn people about gankers but usually only if it’s going to be an Xv1 situation and it’s someone I respect as a player. Perhaps they wanted to duel and they didn’t want you ganking?
Except I wasnt ganking, just trying to get back to the keep. I'm clearly moving away...
Still, doesn't make it any less ***
P.S. He's helping a ganker...

Ah so you can be 100% useless in PvP. Good idea! Better still, uninstall! Save pop locking your faction to let useful players in instead.

Maybe you wasnt ganking in your clip but what about before? We dont know. Maybe you sniped him and then tbagged him and your teammate saw your toxic behavior and decided to help your victim get his revenge. We dont know, its way out of context to tell.
And you wasnt really moving back to the keep, you were watching the approaching enemies, waiting for an oppurtunity to gank someone. Standing on one point for several seconds and watching your enemies isnt "clearly moving away".
And everyone with a brain can tell that you are a snipe ganker. 17k hp and regen buff food. No melee nightblade would run this low amount of hp.
PS: He doesnt look like a ganker. Max HP buff + Boodspawn Monster set. What ganker runs bloodspawn wich require to take damage to proc?

Imagine the risks you take when sniping someone from 40m+......

yes, i make sure to tell my target not to move, then measure out exactly 40m before attacking. every time

You can replace the distance with more or less any number you like tbh, as long as I'm outside the range of a gapcloser I'm not talking any risks whatsoever. Non ultimate abilities shouldn't hit hard ans have powerful debuffs attached to them. Make snipe an ultimate and it would honestly be in a balanced state.

I encourage everyone to do the same. There's no reason that we as a community can't remove the toxic gameplay of stealth ganking by using the capabilities allotted to us.
RIP, hope it happens until you decide to either stop PVPing or learn how to PVP.
