The downside of PvP.

Let me start off saying I love PvP in ESO. The combat is fun and fast paced and exciting.
This situation, however, is anything but fun.
I don't understand why players do this, what they get out of it, or why this is even allowed....but this is something that definitely ruins fun.

People don’t like gankers? Idk sometimes I warn people about gankers but usually only if it’s going to be an Xv1 situation and it’s someone I respect as a player. Perhaps they wanted to duel and they didn’t want you ganking?

That’s some BS for sure. I’ve had that happen before as well.

A level 10 on my team, giving away my position to a zerg.

Then get the f*** away from a keep if you want to duel, if you duel around a keep/res/road on the way to a keep then you are fair game

Team purple and team green are what Zos calls creative thinking, Cx. Report it and they won't do anything. It gets really fun when the turncoat leads the rest of their group into a zerg of two fractions working together. It doesn't bother me because I am pretty much use to all the shenanigans in PvP. Though if it bothers you that much, be sure to tell your guildies about this player and you will get much better results....Give him the horse simulator game, or let it go. :*

I told all of zone this persons name. Turns out, he does this alot. He's a blue player who spys on yellow and red chat, and does what he does like in the video above.

Was hoping for a constructive chat on the nature of spying, not "hur hur...you buffed your weapons..."

My mistake for forgetting the nature of these forums.

This is lame and should result in a ban, but there's really no way to definitively prove they're purposely revealing you. I mean, it seems pretty obvious in the video (regardless of if you were ganking or hiding or whatever), but the other player can just say they were trying to stealth near you or having lag issues.

There's no valid reason for people doing this sort of thing outside of a keep in Cyrodiil. Saying that "maybe they were trying to duel without interruptions" is a really weak excuse, considering they can go anywhere else in Tamriel to do this, and makes me think the defenders of this type of behavior are the ones engaging in it.

Can't say I have any sympathy when this happens to someone playing a gank or snipe playstyle, I believe karma is the word.

I wouldn't do it to someone out in the open, but if you stealth out in a keep defense I will gladly do my best to bring a swarm of enemies to your hiding spot.

At this stage of the game true loyalty to one's faction is a form of roleplay (friends will play with friends regardless of what faction they are in and will at times help their friends make AP at the expense of other players in their own faction). Their really isn't any way to punish this sort of behavior, but what you can do is try to remember the names of players who are clearly enemies despite their choice in faction.

At 11 seconds in the intentions of the revealer was clear and that would've been plenty of time to get back inside the keep while still being hidden. It would've been more clear if you play with nameplates and alliance indicators on at all times even when you're not directly looking at the person.

Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

I don't care about being killed in PvP.
I do think of me getting caught out as karma. I believe when I inevitably get teabagged that I deserve it.

What's lame is having your own supposedly teammates, your own faction, those who are supposed to work with you, work against you.

You're right to not have sympathy for this playstyle. That's not the argument here. The issue is that what I'm doing is for the alliance I'm working for. I shouldn't have to worry about those supposedly on my side.
