And this comment is why so many believe PvP is a toxic environment.
Well done proving them right...
It is a toxic environment where kids pvp in chat more then they pvp the other factions. Everyone does not "believe PvP is a toxic environment" They KNOW It is.

I encourage everyone to do the same. There's no reason that we as a community can't remove the toxic gameplay of stealth ganking by using the capabilities allotted to us.
RIP, hope it happens until you decide to either stop PVPing or learn how to PVP.
The ONLY problem with the skill is the desync, When it works correctly it's incredibly easy to block/dodgeroll a snipe. The only improvement I'd like to see regarding this skill is that it be reflected by more abilities that reflect magic projectiles but not physical.SpacemanSpiff1 wrote: »It's funny seeing all the folks that are triggered by snipers/gankers.
It is a toxic no risk high reward playstyle and people dont like it. I really dont understand why zos doesnt change the skill tbf. It has way too much damage, the defile on it is ridiculous and the desync is terrible. Just look at this topic... people are just very unhappy about the skill.
What everyone who's giving me *** about having snipe on my bar is, I haven't even had the chance to use it yet. What's going down in this video...these players don't even know I have snipe yet.
This is happening pre-snipe.
So while you have the privilege of seeing my bars, they do not. Saying this happened because I'm using snipe is false.
I'm not asking for sympathy, I'm trying to discuss the scourge of spying on your own alliance.
Snipe really isn't the point here.
But please, continue going off topic if you must.
Would love to here the defense of this behavior if I was on my magDK....lol
If they didn't know you were a sniper and you don't have a reputation for being a sniper then yes it was a *** move.
But as others have mentioned, snipers deserve this kind of treatment.
The solo-player and small-scale community have become sick of lurking snipers in the background abusing the desync exploit and knowing too well that they are exploiting a broken move.
So now its not uncommon for vigilante action where players will reveal snipers to other factions as a way to vent their frustration because ZoS still hasn't fixed the most broken skill in the game for 4 years now.

Ah so you can be 100% useless in PvP. Good idea! Better still, uninstall! Save pop locking your faction to let useful players in instead.
If you read your own message again, does it sound coherent? Because to me it looks like a collection of random gibberish that has no connection to what I said at all.
Also, don't worry about me pop locking anything, I don't PvP, because it's pure cancer. But this thread seemed to give a good gameplay reason to change a mechanic that never made sense to me, and also causes confusion to new players...
@kaithuzar, he was slow to react. Didn't react at all really. The very first time this happened to me, I was the same. It's just sheer incredulity that your faction mate would do this or not even being sure exactly what they are doing. Ostensibly you are two players who could take on the opposing faction. You don't expect this instead.

People don’t like gankers? Idk sometimes I warn people about gankers but usually only if it’s going to be an Xv1 situation and it’s someone I respect as a player. Perhaps they wanted to duel and they didn’t want you ganking?
Except I wasnt ganking, just trying to get back to the keep. I'm clearly moving away...
Still, doesn't make it any less ***
P.S. He's helping a ganker...
This is the downside of life. Shameless jerks are multiplying exponentially. They're pretty much everywhere now.
Sadly, this is not the only type of toxicity in PvP.
- Gankers with no strategic value whatsoever. They are just in PvP to harass other players and are basically trolling for hate tells.
- Scroll hijacking (similar to this video)
- Decent size clique (seems like a crosss-faction guild) of players who bully select other players.
- Cheat engine and macro deniers.
A basic lack of learning how to play [well with others].
@Mintaka5 Listen buddy, I say this with good will.
Your experience with the third point has a lot to do with your ignorant conviction in your fourth point. Focusing down and obliterating an enemy player in PvP is not toxicity. The nature of the tells you send people that kill you however definitely is
First learn to sit down, be humble, and accept defeat with grace, before lecturing people about how to play with others.

Everyday! I learn everyday, son!
I know players single me out, and it's complete ***, toxicity and harassment. You can write novels around your argument, and still be wrong. I don't learn anything from it. Defeat with grace, is just another toxic tag line fed by your overblown egos.
Anyhow I know this clique exists in PvP. They've admitted to it. They chase me around Cyrodiil getting intel on my location from cross-faction players, and then tell me they're all laughing at me at my expense over and over and over and over. You want to lecture me on being humble, then look at yourselves first, and learn that your behavior is about as modest as Donald Trump's fake *** hairdo. You and all your l33t buddies are pretenders!
HUMBLE YOURSELF, FOOL!
Let me start off saying I love PvP in ESO. The combat is fun and fast paced and exciting.
This situation, however, is anything but fun.
I don't understand why players do this, what they get out of it, or why this is even allowed....but this is something that definitely ruins fun.https://youtu.be/Vggzw7K5FiI
Sniper is a really challenging playstyle. I stream my sniper every Tuesday and if anyone is interested in Learning more about how truly complex it is, please tune in. Here’s a short clip of my last one, where I demonstrate the challenging nature of the class:

And here’s a clip of me demonstrating the high risk nature of the snipe playstyle... only with extreme precision and attention to detail can one survive while playing such a challenging, team oriented build:

Omg such skill. The ESO music just added to it and reminded me of glitches in Oblivion. Then the tbagging. Granted we don't know the full story, maybe op ganked the dude and he's happy op is dead. I only tbag my teammates and some enemies but in both cases they know what they did and they deserve it lol.

Lol this clearly was someone who doesn't like gankers. And I dont believe you were trying to get away. You buffed up your weapon damage to head back to the keep?
Again, he's helping a ganker.
So, he doesn't like gankers, so he's helping a ganker?
Where's the logic in that?
Players buff..it's a habit. I also stayed on my sword bar...funny how you don't mention that.
Yes, I was clearly bow ganking on my sword bar...
Of course the spying isn't the focus...
