    Well done proving them right...

It is a toxic environment where kids pvp in chat more then they pvp the other factions. Everyone does not "believe PvP is a toxic environment" They KNOW It is.

It's been like this, "PLAY THE GAME MY WAY YOU NURB, HURDURDUR"

Sniper is valid play, pseudo intellectual low IQd meatsacks complaining that they can't free run keep to keep in amillisecond to PvDoor with a turd herd and ten billion times the numbers is a summary of a big part of the community.

And it is the problem, we can't get a well made, in depth game because of it.

    I support sniping, hurdur meatsack turdhurding, 1 v X, X v 1, whatever, it's PvP.

But the amount of weak minded powerless hold my hand ZOS and skip with me cryhards drown out any reasonable change.

I encourage everyone to do the same. There's no reason that we as a community can't remove the toxic gameplay of stealth ganking by using the capabilities allotted to us.

RIP, hope it happens until you decide to either stop PVPing or learn how to PVP.

Sounds to me like you've got a squishy build and a fragile ego if you can't deal with getting ganked once in a while. Stealth is part of the game and if you don't like it perhaps you're the one that should quit PvPing. And I say this as a light armor Templar that lives through about half of all attempts to gank me.

It is a toxic no risk high reward playstyle and people dont like it. I really dont understand why zos doesnt change the skill tbf. It has way too much damage, the defile on it is ridiculous and the desync is terrible. Just look at this topic... people are just very unhappy about the skill.
The ONLY problem with the skill is the desync, When it works correctly it's incredibly easy to block/dodgeroll a snipe. The only improvement I'd like to see regarding this skill is that it be reflected by more abilities that reflect magic projectiles but not physical.

What everyone who's giving me *** about having snipe on my bar is, I haven't even had the chance to use it yet. What's going down in this video...these players don't even know I have snipe yet.

    This is happening pre-snipe.

So while you have the privilege of seeing my bars, they do not. Saying this happened because I'm using snipe is false.
I'm not asking for sympathy, I'm trying to discuss the scourge of spying on your own alliance.

Snipe really isn't the point here.

But please, continue going off topic if you must.

Would love to here the defense of this behavior if I was on my magDK....lol

If they didn't know you were a sniper and you don't have a reputation for being a sniper then yes it was a *** move.

But as others have mentioned, snipers deserve this kind of treatment.

The solo-player and small-scale community have become sick of lurking snipers in the background abusing the desync exploit and knowing too well that they are exploiting a broken move.

So now its not uncommon for vigilante action where players will reveal snipers to other factions as a way to vent their frustration because ZoS still hasn't fixed the most broken skill in the game for 4 years now.

It's not a game mode meant for 1v1 or 4v4. If you're pointing out people on your alliance to friends on another alliance there is no valid excuse, you're a dirtbag.

For what it's worth, I'm with the OP. Your own faction turning on you is among the most off-putting behaviour in the game. It makes me quit PvP when it happens. It's not just a matter-of-fact, rational strategy either. The toxic mindset behind some of this behaviour is well represented by WillhelmBlack in this thread.

People hate nightblades, especially bow gankers, but from a game design standpoint cloak fulfills an important role, in my opinion. As a solo player, with friends / guild offline, I log on with my nightblade and I play a ganker, because that saves me from playing horse simulator. In my case it's a melee ganker. I get into prolonged duels or brawls, if I can, but the playstyle invariably involves cloaking and bursting from cloak.

In larger brawls, the natural role of a nightblade is to act like an execute. Yes, I will gank a tanky player that my faction mates are having a hard time killing. This is not my only kind of target, but my role is quite limited to attack. Throwing the occasional Healing Ward is OK, but I'm not a healer, and I am far too squishy to be a visible target most of the time. If you are really good, you can weave in and out of combat seamlessly, but I can understand a player who plays more carefully.

Just this week I got zone chat abuse exactly along the lines of what WillhelmBlack is saying, basically that I should go away, because I was merely leeching, only in much less polite language. It happened in IC. I was watching them fight a fisherman, under a bridge, which I don't attack as a matter of principle. A simple act of kindness, like that, immediately sets some toxic players on tilt. A third faction player showed up, a nightblade shading around, whom I found very hard to target, because my two faction mate's twilights kept blocking my view. When I eventually did help kill him, I got abuse poured on to me by them.

@Kel why didn’t you just kill the guy. A majority of fights are won by the person who strikes first. If you see someone coming your way then hit them instead of standing there & thinking of going the other direction..

Also you got 17k health; are you crazy?
It should be a requirement to have 22+ before entering Cyrodiil, that’s a noob mistake. This “full ganker build” is b.s. & terrible, anyone who builds that way & cant hold their own in a fight or get away based on the tools available, needs to fix their build.

I know plenty that have tried that playstyle & the only ones who are successful don’t die because they know how to get away properly; most are above 20k health.
If you can’t escape & survive you need to rework things until you can, or just kill the guy first.

Ah so you can be 100% useless in PvP. Good idea! Better still, uninstall! Save pop locking your faction to let useful players in instead.

If you read your own message again, does it sound coherent? Because to me it looks like a collection of random gibberish that has no connection to what I said at all.

Also, don't worry about me pop locking anything, I don't PvP, because it's pure cancer. But this thread seemed to give a good gameplay reason to change a mechanic that never made sense to me, and also causes confusion to new players...

Do you not understand that being completely invisible to everyone in an AvA game is a ridiculous idea? How would anyone defend or take keeps if they can't see their own back up? Battleground matches would be a joke. The sneak mechanic in ESO is bad enough as is.

If you prefer to do your PvP on the forums like the clever [snip] you sound like, then go do some of your own research on the game first so everything doesn't have to be explained for you.

@kaithuzar, he was slow to react. Didn't react at all really. The very first time this happened to me, I was the same. It's just sheer incredulity that your faction mate would do this or not even being sure exactly what they are doing. Ostensibly you are two players who could take on the opposing faction. You don't expect this instead.

    • Gankers with no strategic value whatsoever. They are just in PvP to harass other players and are basically trolling for hate tells.
    • Scroll hijacking (similar to this video)

    • Cheat engine and macro deniers.

A basic lack of learning how to play [well with others].

This has happened to me on my Magplar when I was stealthed up and taking a phone call. I was crouching in a corner, glowing gold with a staff, so clearly a Magplar and not a ganker, and some little (probably 12 year-old) failed abortion came along and exposed me. Luckily for me, I'm a little sturdier and was able to get away. Even stil, it's trash gameplay, no matter how we all (including myself) feel about gankers. Pick a side and stick with it, even if only for the duration of time you're logged onto that particular character.
