Subscription Setup = "The Transaction was not authorized"

So when I preordered ESO, I purchased a prepaid VISA with cash as to not put my personal credit/cards at risk. I had planned on using Game Time cards for the remainder of my time. Today, when asked to set up a subscription or add gametime card, It also said the price was $0.00. I decided to just put the same prepaid card in thinking it would just fail to go through 30 days from now when my time ran up and I'd purchase more time. Naturally the transaction failed, so I went out and put $20 on another prepaid VISA card to just add it. When putting the card info (which I have verified has $20 on it), it gives me the message "The transaction was not authorized. Please check the provided information again or contact support at http://help.elderscrollsonline.com.". I caved and went and bought another damn prepaid to make you people happy, and I'm still locked out :neutral_face:

    Tried so many things to get the payment authorized and still nothing. It would be nice if we could get an official response, no email back from support and no phone call. What's going on? I'm lucky as I set mine up yesterday as did my husband, paid for the game for 3 of us using the same card, subbed both mine and my husbands yesterday but today I try to do my son's and it won't authorize due to Visa authorization failing every time.

    nice try - but not it. it would have to be whatever software/function your using to take and relay cc info. its bugging the info to fail

    Yeah, the Java thing isn't the issue for me, it absolutely won't accept any of my cards and I know I've got around 500 dollars in my card. Sorta tired of doing this..

    the last charge you guys took from me was on 3/17. so you prolly want to look at changes made to the accounting architecture since then - that will be the culprit

    I have the same issue. Yesterday late in night when i logged into the game, then setted up subscription plan, i didn't have money in my visa(used for I-net pay) but today i transferred and i get the same message: Transaction not authorized

    I send E-mail to support - no reply till now
    No playing today too :(

    Haven't been able to log in since the 6th. Can't use card b/c technically atm I don't have one due to some unauthorized charges (not from these guys but elsewhere), closing the account and opening up a new one. Being that it seems "Admins" are here responding as to elsewhere I'm going to request to have my account unlocked, so I'll be able to at least play for the time being. Sub will be set up in about another week and a half when my card gets in.

    Same thing happens to me when i try to pay with my Master Card and when i email them i only get the pre made email response everytime.

    Strike 1. Two days without a single reply on this. I have 4 guildies in Teamskeak right now that have already went back to EQ2 because of this transaction crap. Why would you "store" our credit card info when we purchased the game just to ask us for it again anyway? WTF!

    I am getting the same Error "The Transacion was not Authorized" and I am also using a prepaid card, I dunno why such a complication to take our money? any other company wouldn't be with this problem.

    Hello,

    I choosed 180 days, and Bethesda took the money for authorization. We pass 1 week but the money does not returned. When the authorization finished and my will send back? My account cancelled now, and I cannot subscribe again. Because not enough money on my credit card.

    And one more thing, I cancelled my subscription wrongly. And I cannot open again. Because Bethesda took my all money in my credit card. When I try to fill out credit card information gives an error: "The transaction was not authorized. Please check the provided information again or contact support at http://help.elderscrollsonline.com."

    I wish you'll help about this issue.

    Same problem as the rest of you. It gives me the same error and i checked my checking account to find 4 charges of $14.99. I'm sure i would have been charged more times but was only left with $3.69... all charges have been put on "PENDING". I'm still locked out and the site doesn't acknowledge that i put in the gamestop game code either.
