    For all the people with visa issues, I have a Mastercard and that doesn't work either, not sure how many other people have the same issue with theirs

    I am having the same issue as well. My credit card was charged, information correct and sufficient funds on the card but after multiple attempts it doesn't work. I keep getting the "The transaction was not authorized."

    I'm using a pre-paid card as well, didn't work. Then suddenly it showed the transaction went through and they took their 14.99 off my card but I have yet to receive my game time. Been waiting on a reply from them since last night/early morning.

    Same issue here. Received an email stating "subscription payment failed". When I tried using my Visa credit card I got the "transaction not authorized" message. Credit card works perfectly on other sites, just not elder scrolls online.

    I sent CS a ticket asking for a workaround to their setting subscription issues and they enabled my 30 free days applying a 24hr time code after giving them my secret answer/question.

    When my 30days run off, Ill sure not use my cc, but look for one of my trusted digital sales web to buy a gamecard.

    I even copied them the info stated by their own ZOS staff member, asking them directly (and politely) to work it around for me and let me get into the game.

    Ask them for a 24hours time code to be applied so you can have your 30 free days already. I hope they help you as they did with me (still, the billing problems MUST be solved).

    I have brought up similar solutions but to no avail as of yet. I am not giving up hope because I dearly love the Elder Scrolls games, I guess all I can do is wait, and then wait some more.

    They told me to contact my bank, because they claimed it was my banks' fault. I called the bank and they said that they weren't the problem and blamed zenimax. I bought the palomino horse at the same time I bought a 3 month subscripssion and I got the horse immediatly but not the subscripssion. So it's clearly not me doing anything wrong.. First they gave me 3 days so I could play until it was fixed. Then after maybw ten blurry mails, the dude I talked too gave me another day I could play. And here I am again, with no gametime. GOD DAMNIT I just reached VR and I really wanna play, they may be greedy *** but this is not okey. Hire someone that is a pro when it comes to situations like this one. Because ppl have had this issue since launch and ain't *** changed.

    The last time I had issues and got ignored I emailed Zenimax corperate office and in less than five minuets I had customer service willing to help me. I don'tlike doing such things as it seems like tattling however if the issue continues to be ignored by devs and CS it really cuts ou the options. So if I do not here anything by the 21st I will do it again. Maybe then the billing issue wil be fixed.

    Well people who cant sub wont be able to post on forums since you need a active sub to do that, so after awhile the threads die

    same here i was v1 and ine day i logged if and the next day it was expired so i tried to subscribe again and "The Transaction was not authorized" it says every time i try please help!

    Regular credit card. Plenty of funds/credit, recently purchased at a competing company without problems, like 5 minutes before trying to set up an ESO subscription again.
    PayPal is evil and I am loathe to add yet another hoop to jump through.

    Be careful if your transaction does not go through the first time. Do not keep trying it with that same card. You risk ending up with funds being held and unavailable for a long time.

    It's so disappointing to see this is still going on. It plays a major factor into whether I continue to sub or not. I finally had to buy a game card which meant a 2 month sub fee.

    @Evergnar thanks for the heads-up and yes, all bugs and other problems aside, it's discouraging to see that even the most basic purpose of this product - taking our money - is not working reliably.

    Are you guys aware that this is still an issue and by no means an isolated case?
    I know it's only June, but sweetrolls for your Christmas stockings if I can actually re-subscribe before my existing subscription runs out. :#

    Good news, payment accepted.
    Following instructions from customer service rep Anna, I called my bank and asked them to check for rejected payments. Seems elderscrollsonline.com was "banned without recorded justification" by the credit card company.
    Poetic justice or a consequence of the disastrous credit check policy and ensuing complaints?
    Who knows... I'm just giddy I'm not going to be locked out now.
    By the Eight, this afternoon in the office is going to be long... :|

    P.s.: I hope you don't mind if those sweetrolls smell slightly.... fishy.

    I'm now having this exact same problem. Transaction cannot be authorized. Tried a second time through paypal, the $1 confirmation went through and then got an email saying transaction was again rejected. Contacted the VISA people and they see absolutely no rejected actions.

    And then yesterday just to top it all off, I got an email saying they were sorry to see me go.

    Same issue here! I called the prepaid visa company to see what was happening to have them decline the subscription and they told me the prepaids do NOT support reoccurring charges. Attaching that card to paypal yields the same result since paypal just passes on the same info to the card company that ESO gives them....reoccurring charge.

    I can accept they won't allow reoccurring charges on those cards. What I can't accept is Zenimax used a $1 transaction to test my paypal option instead of a reoccurring transactional test and of course, the $1 went thru fine and was refunded back to the card a couple of days later. Now at the end of the free play time, my sub won't go thru. To make matters worse, they accepted the initial purchase of the game and subscription method all at the same time of the initial purchase.

    CS only resolution is to go buy one of their prepaid game time cards with my prepaid visa to get back into the game. This is totally unacceptable business practice! Now I'm out the $80 and they will not acknowledge this as a major oversight in their billing system. They failed to provide the very thing we signed an agreement on!
