Nooooo leave barrage and blazing spear alone. I definitely do want some kind of AoE root though. Can't compete with DK tanks.

These were the only aoes I could think of that would could work barrage would be the better choice cause it’s an instant ability not an ability you have to place and set ... it needs to be instant and point blank...
Or they could get rid of something and put something new in its place like they did with blinding light ....
They could also change the gap closer to be an aoe immobilize for targets surrounding in a large radius and allow us to lunge point blank if need be
Or just make one of the morphs be a large aoe immobilize that Spears fall from the sky and stop them

Don't remove or buff what is already good. Rework what is underperforming. For example, hasty prayer. The skill is so expensive and its effect is a meme. What if it was the tank heal AND tank immobilise instead?

I initially wanted to say this ... but I didn’t know if others would think this is op to get a max health based heal out of an immobilize agility ...

The only reason I wanted solar barrage to be it is because of the passive of activating a dawns wrath ability that will give 3 ultimate
I think most Templar tanks have gotten away from bothering with power of the light ...

i would say it should scrap the 5 second minor expedition anyway. make it immobilise everything within 5 meters of you and heal you and your allies for 30% of your max health.

Cost would have to also be reduced to 4052... otherwise it wouldn’t be worth using

The Sun shield is an AOE. It would make sense to turn the "flashing light" into an AOE stun, which would be too OP, but immobilize bc enemies dont know where to go / hit could make sense could work out.

A 4 second, no cast time, slow followed by a stuns. Exactly what you are asking for.. Instant Cast Time

28 meter range with an 8 meter stun/slow radius. You also aware that you can cast it on yourself, point blank if you will. You can even turn on the quick cast ground ablitys in the menu and you don't even need to double tap the skill.
Have you even tried to use this skill?
Also sorc has a AOE immobilize, not just warden/dk.
How about making Trapping Webs / one of it's morphs from the Undaunted skill line into an AoE immobilize? Good chance to fix the synergy while they're at it.
