What I’d like as a Templar tank

So the two things that are big for me

Is a stun/immobilize that lasts for 3 seconds and hits multiple targets in a wide range

Two options I think could work

1 solar barrage morph ... make it a 3 second immobilize (which doesn’t make sense) but it would work

2 blazing spear morph could be changed into an mobilize allowing a rain of Spears to fall onto enemies surrounding you in a 25 meter radius.... get rid of the synergy on this morph make that only on the luminous shard morph

either would work

And I’d also like one Either breath of life or honor the dead tonbe morphed Into being based on your max health and a self heal... or a large self heal and heal to others in a determined radius

Repentance doesn’t count cause it has to have bodies and as we know there are not always bodies

It would be great if these options were added for us tanks

    It needs to be a snare, I can use time stop for a stun but I can't time stop and pull in all the mobs into the circle and have them get stunned.

    Exactly I would rather an immobilize/snare also I like time stop but it needs to be a point blank instant aoe to be viable

    Yep, these 2 changes would bring Templar tanks back in a big way. Fully support. Once this is done, Nightblades need an AoE snare, and all classes will be viable tanks in all content.

    These were the only aoes I could think of that would could work barrage would be the better choice cause it’s an instant ability not an ability you have to place and set ... it needs to be instant and point blank...

    Not only this but Blazing Spear use to be a CC. It got jacked hard when cc immunity was added to the game and has gotten progressively worse since then. Although now it is nice for the magplar dps crowd. I should add before the Correcto-man crowd shows up that I realize Luminous is very useful for Healers now, and Blazing is important and useful for DD's. I'm simply referring to the skill's historical past and why it would make sense to be a CC. If you could make Luminous do the Blazing Damage it might work to have an alternate cc skill but I'm not sure what other tinkering would come with the class. I do agree it would be nice for Templars to have their own version of 'Talons' and Dragonblood. It seems so strange that such a heal-heavy class stinks at healing if its not fully dedicated to magic. I do realize people refer to the snare but realistically it doesn't come across as very strong. People run in and out of the snare with ease.

    I think most Templar tanks have gotten away from bothering with power of the light ...

    i would say it should scrap the 5 second minor expedition anyway. make it immobilise everything within 5 meters of you and heal you and your allies for 30% of your max health.

    The Sun shield is an AOE. It would make sense to turn the "flashing light" into an AOE stun, which would be too OP, but immobilize bc enemies dont know where to go / hit could make sense could work out.

    I rarely see this skill used anyway, but from a tanking (pve) perspective it would make sense so add it to the Radiant Ward morph.

    How about making Trapping Webs / one of it's morphs from the Undaunted skill line into an AoE immobilize? Good chance to fix the synergy while they're at it.

    ive thought this too. the skill has problems. synergy is extremely hard to activate, you can't even see the skill half the time and tangling webs is just straight bad. tangling makes the most sense to add the immobilise to as well. you TANGLE their feet.

    Then please give DK (and other tanks) ability which gives 8k resistances, costs 1k and restores 240 stamina per second.

    Great idea! I was trying to use it just for fun and it's complete waste. If it provided immobility for 4 seconds and had larger radius it will be good aoe cc. Still worse then claws but at least it will allow to do the job.

    I’d hate for them to nerf the shield part of radiant ward tho ther shield is so strong right now I use it s lot while tanking ...

    This is why I keep falling back on solar barrage ... do a lot of dps even use it ? It would be nice to have a dawns wrath ability on my main bar to use for the passives ...

    It’s not instant I want something instant and point blank... I don’t think that’s to much to ask warden has one dk has one ...it looks like necromancer will be getting one...

    This is what I think as well. The first sun shield morph should temporarily stun opponents or at least put them off balance, leaving them vulnerable to attack. If the power scales based on max health it'll keep it as a tank-only attack.

    I actually use that skill and its far from a "meme" in PvP when you heal over 20K with it and have enough mag regen to spam it.

    A 4 second, no cast time, slow followed by a stuns. Exactly what you are asking for.

    28 meters Range

    28 meter range with an 8 meter stun/slow radius. You also aware that you can cast it on yourself, point blank if you will. You can even turn on the quick cast ground ablitys in the menu and you don't even need to double tap the skill.

    Also sorc has a AOE immobilize, not just warden/dk.

    I believe i addressed this ability earlier in this thread before you mentioned time stop...

    Yes i use this ability ...(i had no idea you could remove the double click cast time... that will help a lot with it...)

    That said i still want my own from my own class..

    For starters people are trying ot get it nerfed into uselessness and have been since its inception... (time stop).. which means eventually pvp will cry hard enough and get it nerfed...

    I want something like talons or ice shards.. sine its not a stun just an immobilize and there will be no argument against it being too strong since it would work exactly like it.....

    If they tacked the heal onto it..wish say honor the dead or ... lowered the cost of one of the morphs from healing ritual making it not only an immobilize ability but also a heal based on max health than that would be two birds and one stone on my templar tank...

    So yes ive heard of and use time stop....and i really like it.. but i see it getting nerfed by crying pvp players (i dont pvp)...

    It seems pretty terrible in pvp but nerfed to uselessness in pve would be pretty tricky.

    I have thought about this too, there really needs to be a stam CC skill and this would be perfect for it. Redoing the morph Tangling Web so that it immobilizes at cast for 3 seconds then web burst for damage and 3 seconds of reduced speed. Make the radius 6m like the other magic skills.
