No progression, means no reason to continue playing. I have my reasons why which I've shared in the other threads regarding this. I will say that without certainty, that with no progression system, myself and my friends that play ESO will drift away to other games that do provide a progression system.
For example, Destiny 2, grinded 3 characters to max level and then sat their stagnant with no real reason to sign on and play prior to any DLC launch. Never went back to the game. The Division, same story.. End game was running around the dark zone for 7 hours with friends absolutely dominating everyone that stepped foot in there with us. We all stopped playing prior to DLC launches because everything eventually gets old when you have nothing left to strive for. Black Ops 4, primarily played blackout, hit level cap, me and my friends all stopped playing it (this is when a few of us returned to ESO) because there was really nothing left to do other than the same old thing over and over.
The only thing that has kept myself and many of my friends returning to ESO between games has been the fact that there was progression to be made after taking breaks. Now that will be gone for the foreseeable future.; if not forever. When Anthem, and Division 2 drop here in February and March, this will be the final straw that pushes me away from ESO for good, and I know my friends will share this opinion. It is what it is though. ZoS is going to cater to the masses that will help boost in-game purchases. They will make the game even more accessible and casual friendly because that will draw in more players, and more players will lead to more sales. Anyone looking for a serious MMO fix who has not already moved on will more than likely move on soon with nothing further to work towards. I'm fine to be one of those on that list if this is the direction the game is headed.

No CP increase. Where is that documented?

@Lab3360 it was stated yesterday during the Livestream for the "Season of the Dragon" and Elsweyr reveal. Pretty much exactly as stated in the poll: no CP cap increase in the next DLC or in the foreseeable future while the dev team reviews the CP system.
