This is the new class. Necros will for sure have an insta cast move that hits like crystal frags and heals for 80% of the damage dealt, and an ultimate that causes damage equivalent to an AE Dawnbreaker but which ignores all resists and fears for 4 seconds.

On the other hand, wardens will probably finally get a nerf.

    Oh and sorcs, b/c sorcs.

These look like to me abilities from enemies and proc from Nerien'eth in the first one. I wouldn't take these as credit to the class until actual footage has been released. I think there is much more to Necromancy than what is shown here which is a lich crystal and a couple skulls being thrown about. Think about the possibility of a flesh atronach ult, you do help Abnur Tharn create one.

They are. I think OP is just saying that could be what some of the animations for the Necromancer skills will be.

I think we've seen little diversity of Necromancy in-game; trust me the excitement is there for them to expand upon it.

On the other hand, wardens will probably finally get a nerf.

    What is this nonsense?

Screaming Cliff Racer was made dodgeable (fair) and was made to no longer line up with fissure (ughhhhh)
Deep Fissure lost its stun in exchange for cost decrease and 5s breach
Fletcher Infection was made reflectable and had a 30% cost increase
Bird of Prey had its 10s expedition duration nerfed to 4s
Eternal Guardian suffered a 30% damage nerf
Arctic Blast had its damage removed and was reworked into most useless stun in the game
Shimmering Shield had its mag return nerfed (this is fair)
Healing Thicket had a 30% heal nerf and 20 ult cost increase (fair I guess)
Nature’s Embrace given glitchy Empowered Chains invalid location bug in exchange for some ult regen

Meanwhile the class has only four viable offensive abilities (1/2 the normal number relative to other classes) while most of the winters embrace morphs are held hostage by the ice is for tanking agenda... why is ice for tanking? when has it ever been a tanking element in previous elder scrolls titles? why do so many people want to nerf warden in general becuase of one shot stamden groups and those stupid ice staff frost blockade builds that only work because of zos insane mobility nerfs?

Magden needs a rework at this point, not a nerf... It has garbage mobility and too much of its offense is focused into deep fissure and permafrost while its other class based damage abilities remain absolutely useless... It’s practically defined by non class mag damaging abilities of which their are very few

Stamden... well... um... sub assault, dawnbreaker, spin to win in a group is undeniably broken but only one of these abilities is class based

People saying warden is overpowered need to specify or shut up. Ive said this before but its like saying DK is op because its the best tank.

I have to admit, the concept of an actual necromancer in nerien'eth, lich and caluurion appeals to me, I can kind of guess what the class should look like (based on existing npc skills and current class structures):
    • summons (permanent or temporary) = skeletal beast, humanoid zombie, bone colossus ultimate
    • CC = hand from ground thing, source of fear/disorient, trapping orb, those chain and spike things
    • spammable = flaming skull (as in fang lair), small necrotic energy ball(?)
    • DoTs/bleeds = disease, poison, oblivion damage, mangle
    • mitigation = teleportation (like streak), reflective shield (like wings)
    • debuffs/restorative = health (or resource) steal (like vampire, or entropy), curse crossed between purifying light and haunting curse that drains/siphons and applies fracture/maim/mangle/breach

Essentially, the concept of necromancer is a bastardisation of Templar and Sorc, with some unique abilities. However, in the end we'll all most likely be wrong though, and the final class will be the next most bemoaned thing in game. All we can be certain of right now is:

It will introduce a balancing conflict.
    It will polarise pvp.
It will be a while before existing classes recover from the nerfs they receive early days to make the close equivalence skills of the necromancer attractive.

Why do I have this awful feeling that necromancer is going to be all the hopes and dreams of Sorc and Warden condensed into a single almighty class.

I called this many DLC ago when they stealth updated these visual effects, yeah. There’s almost no reason to redo NPC art or effects unless it was to have more general use.

I really hope the grabbing hand is one of their CC abilities, it's such a great move from NPC's a player variant would be cool.

Not sure we'll get the lich crystals though as there is already a set which uses the animation.

I like all the suggestions :)

Also from existing abilities they could add Desecrated Ground AOE circle which deals some damage to the enemy who stands inside and slows them down :) And ranged "Fear projectile" which fears the target (and it needs to be reflect-able). And some "Complexion fix" ability where you stun and transform enemies into skeletons like Blackheart does (would be super fun, but probably never going to happen) :D

I had some suggestions posted long time ago, but I can't remember them now... But I do think that this class should have abilities which drain life and energy from enemies (and even allies if it was single player game, cause that would be evil thing to do in multiplayer...). It could be some channeled ability/ultimate (which can be interrupted), where you do some cool moves (or some cool pose like Meditate, or like Vorenor does when he drains blood from his victims to heal himself) and drain life/resources from all enemies in certain area - possibly restoring your own life/resources and having a morph where your allies in this area also get health/resources while you are channeling this ability. Would be epic <3

And of course summoning of some classic monstrosities should be a must  I would also want a permanent battle pet in form of Skeletal senche (they could add many possible forms so we could use "skins" for them in our collections).

I really hope Necromancer will have scary-looking abilities with proper effects. Warden was almost total disappointment with all those flowers and mushrooms, looks like a fairy :/
