My no vote includes wanting the name and race tokens to go away. If I want that much difference, it should be a new character, and that includes learning all the new skills. If a single character is so important to you, why would you want to change something so fundamental as its class?

Class change tokens would simply result in competitive areas like PvP zones and trials being filled with the FOTM templates that would change with every update, all the more so as ZOS would see the business sense in making just enough changes in skill balancing etc each update to prompt another wave of class change token purchases.
Rather than dumb the game down even further with mass harmonisation of characters and with no decision ever taken in the game being unable to be reversed so no decision ever requires thought or responsibility, I'd far rather have very expensive crown store tokens enabling players who have completed everything in the game on at least one character to be able to create an instant maxed character. That way it would meet the demands of the few without impacting on everyone else.

So if I have over 5k hours of playtime on my main I suddenly am lazy because I dont feel like starting all over again? Wow
THIS. Why doesn't anyone understand this. Is everyone just too focused on pulling numbers in the game and trying to be #1 that they've forgotten about things like this? Isn't this WHY all of us loved our first RPGs? Our first MMO? Our first fantasy game? Having that one character almost write its own book?
This is so sad...

Ikr!! I don't get how people can feel so elitist and rude about creating more alts. This is a game, playing the same thing over again just to replace 3 class skill lines isn't being a hardworker or anything. We play the game to be lazy. It's a game! If we want to be hardworkers we work at our job, then we convert that time at our job to buy things we want, like replacing the 3 class skill lines. And for those who work long hours, starting over on a new character is unappealing and if they're dissatisfied with their class they might just quit instead.

This is an amazing idea actually!!

The way I see it, it would alleviate the tension felt in the community by making people not be required to regrind their skill points and guild trees if they carried over to the new class chosen. People would still make alts and people with dedicated mains could have more of a choice in their end game experience.

Achievements linked per character, Skillpoints need to be ground on every new character (hope you like doing the same delves and public dungeons a dozen times over), Leveling being boring and essentially just an experience in trying to get to level 50 while expending either the least effort or least time possible.
For a lot of people, myself included, I like putting everything into one character. This is an ES game, where in the lore does it say "thou shalt buy a class change token if thou wishes to change their playstyle"
