My toons are a mix of both...but I think I lean more towards the stamina.

Stamblade(first character since release)and stamwarden I just build.Something just has always appealed me using swords,daggers etc instead magic wands and sticks.I tried magtemplar and sorc but they ended up crafters for somereason.

Magicka, it's my first character and is a Sorcerer. Stam builds recommend using mostly weapon abilities and that didn't seem much like a Sorcerer so I chose to go Mag for the fantasy aspect.

It would be nice though if more Magicka abilities had a Stamina morph ZOS. Just sayin'.

I main magicka, I actually prefer the magicka version of each class over the stamina version. I feel magicka has more versatility with the class.

My Main is now my Crafter, a Hybrid Bosmer Nightblade Tank.

Before someone asks:im sitting in stealth because i got targetted by ranged magicka users and had to jump down to avoid getting killed(they love to target the melee guys first it seems).

Interesting results seeing as a lot of people have been yelling about how stamina is just better across the board no argument.

I like healing so went magicka, I’m trying a stamina class now. Magicka seems more accessible so it makes sense that people would play magicka more.

If you’re stamina you’re locked into playing a dps, if you’re magicka you can heal. I’m going to try a tank will all my points into stamina but am not sure if it will work.

Redguard Stamplar. She was strictly PVE until I found out I love PVP. Now she does both. Eventually she'll be strictly PVP.

I completely hate the stamina play-style in this game, it's so schizophrenic... you have to be in melee range and yet have to use a bow, but you're not an archer archetype, it's just for the DOTs... and that's just due to the MA bow, and also because there aren't good DOTs for your weapons of choice that can replace the DOTs from the bow.

Two Hander? Nah, can't have that... not a DPS weapon... Dual Swords/Maces? Nah neither that, it's daggers or dagger/axe, or axes, or get out of here.

At least as Magicka, there are no nonsensical counter-archetype issues like those for stamina.

I personally tend to prefer Ranger archetypes in other games myself, and when that fails, something akin to Paladins... and then Rogues/Backstabbers as third option... but in this game there are no such options for stamina builds.

And I always liked a mix-type archetype in my single player ES games, like Spellsword or Battlemage... or any combination or archery and illusion, or fighter alteration.

Still I think my favorite is my Breton Atronach Spellsword custom-class character that I'm still playing in Oblivion

I have several favorite characters. I have mained stamina, I have mained magicka. TODAY my main is a stamina character. But I have also just finished setting up my healer to go into Cyro, so I could switch over to magicka anytime. My original main still does all the new content first and she is my master crafter who makes the things for my other characters to research, and of course writs daily. My other favorite is my mDK, who is shelved until I can figure out what I want to do with her since going sword and board on her just makes me really mad so I won't do it (I really need her flame damage skills to actually be impressive) - for now all she does is daily writs which isn't where I planned on her being when I made her a million years ago, mDK is probably my all time favorite and I planned on sticking with it forever really.
