    Worst current nerf? I'd say shields and any overkill nerfs like rune cage.

    The idea of a support branch of CP is interesting, like maybe increase resources returned to the group by X %, it would beef up orbs and shards and elemental drain, for example. ZOS would never do this though.

    They might as well, they made the bastion CP perk absolutely worthless with the shield change. I think that can be changed.

    Correct me if I'm wrong and that bastion still affects some shields in the game.

    While the sustain nerf was a big one, I learned to adapt as I was still enjoying the game at that point.

    The straw that broke my back, though, was the shield nerf. I spent a week in November prior to that patch getting so good at VMA that I got leaderboard reward mails twice, which I never thought would be possible. If not for that, maybe, just maybe, I could eventually gotten Flawless.

    Then the nerf hit... I tried it with my stam Warden and went nope... VMA had been my main focus for months; Murkmire didn't really interest me and seeing as all I was really doing was getting event tickets and doing writs to get my 9th toon to level 50 in JC... well let's just say that I'm not even bothering to login for the crap daily rewards any more. And this from someone that used to fret every maintenance.

    Morrowind sustain nerf was the worst past nerf in my opinion, also really disliked the offbalance cool down changes. As for the future i dont know, if its fun or enjoyable itll get the hammer.

    Major evasion from 20% to 15% then nerfing it into aoe mitigation. I'm mainly speaking on Mirage. The bread and butter of NB tanking. Oh how I miss those days.

    Sustain nerf sucked and shoehorned everyone in to meta builds. As you can imagine I am looking forward to the inevitable Argonian sustain / potion nerf.

    All of the mag sorc nerfs were pretty bad. I liked streak before all of the nerfs (way baaaack when).

    The blanket shield nerf using battle spirit rather than adjust the ones that were over performing specifically. Lead to issues in future and relegated blazing shield to trollplar builds and eventually even those died. They still are nerfing shields wrong to this day as seen in Murkmire.

    Worst nerf in my opinion when they first nerfed Breath of Life to only hitting you plus 1 other player instead of 2 extra heals back in March 2016. In heavy needs heals makes a huge difference and totally changed resource management for templar healers. This I think was the beginning of the end of needing true healers.

    They also increase the cost of Breath of Life while decreasing how much it healed.

    But I am a main healer so I am partial to many of the healing nerfs.

    Cloak is just dumb lol. What is a better defence in any game than just straight up becoming invisible to your opponent. Just absolutely ridiculous and cowardly. I have no sympathy for cloak nerfs unless you just dont have thumbs

Shields were never a substitute for heals. They were always a thing you hit before bit unavoidable mechanics or after you took a big hit to give a healer time to top you off. Healers are left out of much 4 man content becuase:
    1) Dps checks on much DLC hard mode content are very had for most experianced players to reach.
    2) Most damage is one shots anyway.
    3) Few heal checks exist.
    4) Even on content where dps checks are not severe most mechanics are timing rather than health percentage based and so are exponentially easier as dps increases. A lot of content has say a very high (say 2M) health add spawn every 60 seconds. A so-so dps group (20k each) takes 50 seconds to do this leaving only 10 seconds to dps boss. A high dps group (45k each) does it in 22 seconds leaving 38 seconds on the boss and therefore completing the fight in 3.8 times faster though doing just over twice the dps. See, exponentially easier though bad game design. This is even more the case when entire mechanics are skipped which they are in almost every fight with high dps. Bad, bad, bad game design.
    Also, healers don't really do much healing post Morrowind since group sustain is job #1 and it takes up most of their casts. I might also add that the shield nerf came at a time when mag already pretty much getting wrecked in PVP and the nerf reduced their primary defense by 1/2 to 2/3rds making them utterly worthless.

    You said future. I expect the worst future nerf will be the removal of racial passives altogether next patch. This will probably just amount to a 10% resource nerf, 9-15% resource sustain nerf, and 4-5% damage nerf. Racial passives are wildly unbalanced and have been a big problem since the removal of softcaps in 1.6 but I expect the "fix" to this will come with a massive nerf to everybody running a BIS race.

    Racial nerfs are just an idea to spark sales of race change tokens. They're gonna sweep the floor when they nerf the crap out of everyone's racial passives and they gotta pay to switch to the ones they overbuff.

    Siphoning Attacks using magicka to gain magicka is the worst effing nerf in this game and I will not be satisfied until Dark Deal uses magika to gain magika as well or they come to their senses and make Siphoning/Leeching use the opposite resource.

    Warden has really copped some ***. SCR used to line up well in our burst but now it doesnt. People hate that shalks had its stun removed (i personally think the breach is good) swarm got a cost increase for no reason, Falcon's Swiftness was busted up three times! when we just wanted a duration increase now we have to slot it on our limited frontbar space, cast it every 4 seconds if we want to move and deceptive is now useless trash. You honestly need to stop nerfing crap when you have no idea what you're doing. Bear had its teeth removed and is now a gummy bear but its STILL THE BEST CLASS ULTIMATE meaning it was a failed nerf. However, what do i think was the worst nerf? arctic blast was EXECUTED for a slow, non damaging, blockable, dodgeable, barely healing, expensive class stun that only health builds can use. NOT MAGDEN. It used to be a frost tank tool it did good damage and was amazing at proccing chilled. Frost tanks loved this skill and now its gone. Now im convinced that Zos has an agenda against ALL frost and we must fight back!

    Artic blast change was top 5 dumbest nerfs I’ve experienced. No one asked for it, no one.

    The bear is within my top 10 dumbest nerfs.

    Probably the nerf to Unstoppable. That change still irks me even to this day.

    But changing the way Breath of Life targets to where your target has to be in front of you was just as bad and even more stupid to be honest with you - because the change conflicts with the Templar's own toolkit and makes no sense what-so-ever.

    Striping the Templar of Major Mending was also unnecessary and quite dumb in my opinion as well. So was removing the stun from Blazing Spear. Why is it OP when a Templar can stun a crowd yet when a Dragon Knight does something similar with Talons it's fine? Removing regen while blocking was another huge blunder and effectively wiped out an entire play style.

    There has been very few nerfs generally I have ever agreed with. Almost all of them were unnecessary and added nothing of value to the gameplay.

    As far as future nerfs I might not approve of - I'm going to refrain from mentioning those because the last thing I want to do is give the development team any more ideas on abilities to nerf.

    1. When they got rid of the Exploration armor trait. I liked this one.
    2. When they then got rid of the Prosperous armor trait, which was alright, and replaced it with Invigorating. Something I will never use.
    3. The Weighted weapon trait looks good. But it was replaced by Decisive, and I never use this trait either.

    The worst possible future nerf I can think of is a nerf to dawn breaker of smiting. People complain about that skill because it’s the ult of choice for good Stam players. But it’s really not OP even though it gets complained about. If that gets nerfed I’m out.

    90% of all changes of the combat team were terrible.
    • Morrowind sustain slaughter, which just caused endless band-aid-fixes for sustain because they did not think about it before.
    • Removal of the stuns of class skills that really did remove some class identity and created some weird situation in which some classes did not really have any good class cc(rune cage is utter *** now and desto reach is so much better, the warden cc is really bad and removed just another ice damage skill, ...). Most of the change reasons were quite hypocritical since there are enough other skills who did the same and even better but were inaccessible to those classes.
    • all classes more or less losing their identities. cfrag no longer the sorc trade-mark. nb no longer the healing damage dealers. ...
    • stupid nerfs to gpr support sets: night mother, sunderflame,...


    Honorable mention:
    the change to proc enchants on every weapon dot tick would probably also killed pvp for me, so i am really glad they did "fixed" it and not waited 3month just to see that pvp is unplayable and even more ppl left the game.

    Worst nerf they could do? Nerf all weapons spammables claiming that weapons should only assist the class kit but then forgetting to make class kits fun/playable/engaging.
    This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.
