Whilst very true, I think a lot of people are more annoyed with the fact that there is next to no communication about issues. A message goes out saying the EU megaserver is back online, but then people are not able to patch or log in. It's understandable that this causes confusion and annoyance, specially because this went on for quite a while without any message regarding what the problem was.

I'm really enjoying this game, and I do think that it's been one of the smoothest launches that I've ever been a part of, and they did a good job. I'm not bashing Zenimax, nor am I trying to be rude, I just think they should work on their communication towards the community a little. It would save them and us a lot of frustration.

My client say's it's on version 1.0.0.964485 after a small patch, and holy moly the Dragon rings are HUGE!!!

We are aware that some of you are encountering a "login timed out" error when connecting to the European megaserver patcher. We have identified the issue, and are taking the European megaserver offline for a short period to push out the fix. We will let you know when the European megaserver is back online.

So now we'll wait for mail next 2 hours... awesome...

well patched the game got the access code warning but version is 1.0.0.964485?

Why do they keep adding too thier incompetent account *sigh*?
Mail with some code .. accept the mail never arrive.

I want to play as well but really, it's not the end of the world ;-)

Same here... tis sorta weird. Not exactly unexpected, but whatchagonnado?! They got our golds, now they get to mess around like they please; Business as usual ;-)

There IS a patch the client needs to download and it wasn't that big. But I had tried to download manually several times, tried logging in several times, a few minutes ago after another attempt to login it downloaded. Then I tried to login and got the error saying I was attempting to login from an unauthorized pc. Which is untrue. So they sent me the verification email and I logged on. I'm now in game and evidently not the only one..

But yes, communication could (and should!) be better. Like an indication of how much time they needed, instead of 'a few hours' and a rapid response to everyone here complaining about not being able to log on, even after a message the server was back.

Also, I fully agree server maintenance should be done at night, European time. We are paying for this after all, we even have to pay in order to access the 'free' 30 days included with our game. I'm sure many of us have jobs, school or perhaps even a social life and can't just play whenever we want, so being unable to play during the scarce free time we have translates in not being able to play for a day or so at all. Meaning you can't even login to set research objectives or feed your horse if you have one.

Finally, even registering on the forum, loading pages and replying here seems to be a bit of a problem. I understand the servers are under a lot of strain and the hamsters want to take a break, but there was a statement before launch about how prepared they were for every eventuality. Maybe they missed one or two things..

I really hope they learn from this, ESO is pretty great, but things like this can hurt them in the long run.
